OK, got fed up of sitting on this, so I've released it, it's still not finished, but whats left to do I can't do myself, and I've had very little response to helping get it finished, I hope that if a few ppl d/l it and hear them big guns booming out across the terrain it might whip up enthusiasm for someone to help finish it off.You can d/l it from my Ground Units section ~Nat~

Argon, it's not a Team Pacific project, just one of mine that I'm not able to complete on my own, but as you see, theres not much left.. attack it from the right side to see what it can really do.. lolIP: Logged |

to be honest though Argon, it still doesn't take enough damage, I'll probably be raising it, see the whole problem is in the guns, one small bomb dropped anywhere near it, and all those pretty little guns stop firing, I really need to find a way around this, and all I can think of is raising the obHits, which I'll probably do to the whole ship aswell, 2/3 1000 lbs bombs shouldn't sink this, I'm thinking more like 5... but we'll see.Just really glad you like it, even in it's present condition  ~Nat~ IP: Logged |

Nat,As you know I have picked the Yamoto to cut my teeth on. I got a few things to happen with the "CUT" "PASTE" thing, but a thought occured to me, I don't know what the Yamoto even looks like. Also if you have any time I would love to know how to add texture. Like on that big 18" inch, just to see how its done. And if you any other information you can send me I would like to help on the completion of this fine addition. Psi, I will help you all I can, but... the Yamato is as far as I know how to take it, the big guns aren't textured, neither is the Hull or most of the upperworks, this is because after altering the shape of some exported parts in Max, all the texture info was lost, I also don't know how to add the textures, thats one of my main problems.I can help you move parts around, add parts from other ships, edit the basic shape of things in Max, but I just can't texture map, I really don't know how to put one to this ship  But if there's anything you want to know about how I did anything with the Yamato, let me know and I'll help all I can. ~Nat~ PS, making your own sounds if a real boost to the feel of a ship, so thats always a good addon to think of  IP: Logged |

I guess all ships are almost impossible for us to do acurately.. due to their size, but we try and get about the right shape atleast, and the correct number and type of guns where possible (loads had to be left of the Yamato) But here are the pic I got of it what a stunning piece of work[This message has been edited by Nat (edited 04-25-2000).] IP: Logged | |
