Polikarpov I16 Typ 24 Final VersionThere are still some minor bugs as the tail steering mechanism and the shadows and the uncorrect flap sounds etc. I wont put so much work into the I16, IŽll only try to fix some things and add the RS-82 rockets to the loadout/weapons. I will spend the most time in the next weeks at the university, so it would be fine if some others put their hands on it.
The next project is the Pe-2, I will do the 3D stuff, texture mapping and import to OPS, Tailslide will do the rest (  ). We still need scale plans ! The final version comes with a simple brown-cammo skin. IŽll release some more by time, but I hope the experts will also paint some nice skins for the "Ishak".

I have said elsewhere ( in the SDOE general section) That this is my favourite pane of all! You really have given new life to the game!Talking about next projects, The PO-2 sounds great! aS I have said before what are the chances of seeing another from the polikapov stable, the I-153, in SDOE? It seems to be really hard to aim with I16. The engine gets in the way a lot.
Other than that its so cool. I really love going into slew mode and getting the engine to go from smoking to exploding.
Well done Laika and I can't wait for the Pe-2.

Yeah - shitty view outside the cockpit. But with some pratice... I often use only the 2 7.62 SchKas guns to "aim" and look for impacts, in close distance, when "aiming is better" I use the SchVak 20mm.IP: Logged |
