Very minor point.. the game colors are washed out when looking out from the cockpit on my TNT2 card using DX7. Seems ok in external view. Coming along great! I love the gear ! It must have taken ages to get all those DOF's working like that very slick. I had alot of fun blasting 190s with this. TS

Falck the gear is really cool. But the cockpit images are I think screwed up. There are only a few gauges and the compass looks like your looking down on it. Is it just me? Other than that it looks cool. SnakeIP: Logged |

Snake I know the cockpit needs a lot of work I just fixed it so the correct textures display on all the guages. The lower compass is set at about a 60 degree angle. And none of the needles are lined up, and some dont work yet. But we're working on it. Thank Razor747 for the gear, he did all the D.O.F's Here's the only reference I had to go by in making the cockpit. http://www.snowcrash.org/flightshop/images/cockpits/Grumman_FM-2_Wildcat_ckpt_zw.jpg IP: Logged |

You know, down in the Bibliography forum, there are some links (I forget which one) that go to a HUGE depository of MS Flight Sim and Combat FS planes made by players. Some of those planes include custom cockpits, and the files used are .bmp format, so easily viewed and modified. I found a few pretty good pictures of the Corsair panel (haven't done anything with em yet).I didn't look for Wildcats (D'oh! I should've tho--I've been kinda on the lookout for ya) but I bet there is something there you could use as a general guide at least. P.S. feel free to use the Navy pilot from the Corsair download if you want. That little oxygen mask guy just doesn't look right in a Wildcat to me Of course, I predict the Fokker DVII pilot becomes a very popular fellow shortly ------------------ --jedi-- IP: Logged |

Very nice Falck/Razor. One thing, I flew it above 290mph and it shook like an earthquake, is it meant to be flown this slow? Looked and felt funny, but didn't break anything off. That gear is really great to watch. Thanks a bunch.------------------ IP: Logged |

Falck I'm not saying they look bad but they looked corrupted or something. There looked like there was only one or two and they all seemed to overlap. Anyway I've got bigger problems now as the entire plane has gone all balck along with the Corsair, Jug and Ju-88! Snake IP: Logged |

Spyder, fm isnt anywhere near being done yet. Ill see if we can bump that up to 400-450mph.Snake, sounds like your texture cache is corrupted. Delete your texture cache files and it should work again. In the version released the turn-bank indicator isnt there (between the speed and climb guages) and the fuel guage is a copy of the temp guage (fuel guage is the one under the aux fuel pump switch). Of course, most of the needles dont work yet and those that do arent aligned properly anyway If we can fix some of the guages well release another version soon. IP: Logged |
