I will have a Long Island Iced Tea,and some ones for the piano player.I know you barflies have heard it all but I need to get this off my chest. If I said whats on my mind it would sound like gobbledegook. So I will put it this way. Here goes, I have been on a long string of BADdates lately. It's always dinner, movie, or going to the beach and then the inevitable end of the date where I have to run for my life and slam the door to keep these losers from thinking its time for me to pay them back! Its a Jeckel and Hyde transformation. They go from polite to a drooling moron as soon as we pull up to my apartment. How do they change gears like that? You would think I would be ready for it but it never fails to shock me. The last one left me on the side of the street due to ultimatum I was givin. Believe me it was the least of two evils. I think I will stay home and do allot more flying and allot less dating. Another one bartender please. Play it again Sam. ~Maaco~ IP: Logged |

You said it yourself. They are losers. The real question is why do you date losers? Sure, anybody can get fooled once in a while, but I think there is usually a tip off as to what these guys are really like. You need to find out why you are attracted to them.Just because you tell a guy your not ready for sex yet doesn't mean you have to never see him again. Any real man would respect your wishes and give you time. If they won't do that they're not worth seeing again anyway. [This message has been edited by Smokey (edited 10-27-2000).] IP: Logged |

Im sorry. Keep looking Im sure you will run across that "perfect" guy sooner or later. Hehe, shy guy here too! I have a REAL hard time with the ladies. It seems I become too much of a friend to them over a period of time rather than a boy friend. (Ive lost too many girl friend opportunities that way) I even have had myself used and the heart stopped out of me last year by a girl I really loved Well, since Im too young to drink, pass me some really old grape juice. (That ought to do the trick eh? )IP: Logged |

Jerry, ya beat me to it... And listen, I said I had a piano, not that I could PLAY a piano! The tux is rented; I told em 36 waist and 29 length, and of course they got it backwards - that's why I am standing here. If I try to walk, I fall on my face...( doesn;t mess anything up as I am ugly already, but the 'sp-lat' sound is kinda gross ).Maaco, it is a old and tired cliche, but don't give up hope. Then again, if it means we can fly with/against ya online more, then by golly stay home, young woman!! Hawk...we got a shoehorn around that I can use to get me outta this Tux? And No! That was NOT Moonlight Sonata in Heavy Metal...I slipped and hit the piano keyboard! HELP!!!

I am sorry to hear that Maaco. My wife and I hear about this from our single women friends all the time... My wife tells them it is because they are dating boys, not men. And finding a man is getting harder and harder anymore. I do agree with the suggestion of finding your men somewhere else. It could just be the stock you are looking at. Of course, my wife and I met online, so who knows where the good ones are at? ;} I wish you luck and hope to see you again online... I enjoyed flying against you. You are an excellent pilot and it is a challenge to shoot you down. when you aren't shooting down your wingmen... heheheheh No you will never live that down.. .;} Good Luck and keep a smile about it all... when they act like that, just think of them as they are... 10 years old and stupid... ;} Mirthain=FC=IP: Logged |

Ahhhhh, yes, I see the piano now. What the H! There's a full symphony orchestra in here! Listen, there playing a good old Marlyn Manson tune. Hmmmmmmm, got to remember to never drink this stuff so early in the morning.Just remember this young lady, if fireflies glow red then the guy is the one, but, if they glow orange(or was that yellow with a ting of green) than he is not for you. If there are no fireflies than it must be winter. Or, maybe that was barflies? [This message has been edited by Hawk (edited 10-28-2000).] IP: Logged |

That being said, I won't give up on finding a decent person. I am going to take a break for awhile. There's my cab, Thanks for letting me vent. See you in the unfiendly skies ~Maaco~

Yeah shoot there buddy, sorry you've hit on such a streak of losers lately. If I were you, I'd just tell myself that's just the curse of being so damn intelligent, good-lookin', and sexy! The one who left you at curbside probably takes the cake. I thought "Put out - or get out" died with McCarthyism and madras prints. I'd just chalk it up to a string of bad luck. I did my dating in the late 70's and early 80's, which is a time I think of as even being a little more "crazy" than things are now. I had an earring, long hair and a leather jacket. Believe me, I was far from a Boy Scout, but I knew what the word "no" meant, and if I really and truly liked a woman, I wasn't going to screw it up by acting like a goon. So rest assured, even dopey guys that look like bass players can be decent types. You just hang in there girl, and remember you've got a bunch of computer-geek losers, I mean a bunch of really nice, caring gentlemen, who have .45's, shovels, and know how to use them. ------------------ Mk10 Maj=225th= IP: Logged |

I think what it amounts to is I tend to trust people a little to much.Think I will hang out with some friends for awhile and just wait for someone to come along. Instead of searching, I will let it come to me. Oh yeah, The guy that gave me the ultimatum, Had the nerve to call me and ask me out again! I told him to pick me up at 7:00 last night. Acting like nothing had happened, he fell for it. When he showed up my brother was there waiting for him. Lol, when my brother (who is 6'3" and is on the local Rugby team) answered the door instead of me he freaked and started trying to explain his actions with me last week. My brother proceeded to escort him back to his car with a constant verbal barrage of threats of future bodily harm if he ever darkened my door, or even called me again. The highlight of the confrontation was when my brother snapped his radio antena off and began poking him in the chest with it all the way into his car. Then he threw it out into the street. The worm didn't waste any time exiting the area at a high rate of speed! Minus his antena of course, lol. If I have learned anything it's to choose wisely and carry a big brother. Thanks for listening and I will try not to "Dear Abby" this forum again. ~Maaco~ IP: Logged |
