Whew! Last week was a hell of a bad week. Tuesday afternoon, some SOB broke the door of our apartment, and stole ramdom stuff, mostly GF's jewels. Also a bag full of dirty underwear, ignoring the digital camera that was sitting 30 cm from it... weirdoes.

Friday, I finally get the new door installed (the old one was in several pieces), and the neighbours start complaining that it does not meet the aesthetical standards of the building. You know, massive oak with a copper handle, the kind of stuff they used circa 1860 when they build the place. OK, it looks like a bunker door so what?

Saturday, Windows 98 trashes its filesystem, like every 6 months. This time it's not the SDOE files (I had backuped the D.520), but all the photographs from my summer vacation in Alberta and British Columbia. I had re-formatted the Smartmedia cards 2 days before. Auuuggggh!!!

The 18yr. old Macallan is about 54 bucks US for 750ml over here.

I'll tell Siggi to hop over on the Chunnel, and help you rig up some gun ports on that door.

Yuck. That 'violated' feeling you get after going through something like that.

But your right. You've got your health and no-one was hurt in the break-in. Obviously could have been much worse. BTW, Back that important stuff up! Hard drives are shipped with defects...
