WM unregistered	posted 01-18- 08:51 PM Two key points here, please let them not be confused as this thread grows. Issue #1: List all your 'dead' usernames here, hopefully this will soon be rectified. Issue #2: Besides the occasional coma and the eating of usernames, what other significant, bug-induced beefs do people have with the board. I don't want to get any hopes up, but I'm cautiously optimistic about the prospect of improvements at FSIC in the near term. I hope I can compile the beefs, usernames and suggestions (I like the flip-to-page idea too) and have it in one tidy package for the guy(s) who pay the bills. That way there's no excuse for inaction. If the thread is multiple pages long, it will say "This topic is 1 2 3 (however many pages long. Each of those numbers is a link to the next page). Candites such as Simfiles (when they are back up), Tailslide's Site, Wings With Wires, Abbeville, Razer's site (when he gets his new server worked out...Rends aircraft page, the SDOE proper install pages & the new SDOE Factory would be good too! I think it would help old & NEW players alike find what the need to stay current with SDOE's add-ons & the On-Line Standard... my 2 cents anyway! Sometimes I come here to read a post and end up leaving because it takes so long to load. P.S. Major hippie's idea about a link column is great. I had been thinking of something like that for a while and I'm glad you mentioned it. Just a further note about this - I'm not doing the changes myself, we're still working through Joel, but I got some encouraging signs from him recently and I'm trying to capitalize on the momentum. I'll leave it until Sunday for the regulars to report in with usernames, etc. I think that's fair. We can always have a followup list a couple weeks from now, I just want to make sure there is one clean list for Joel. If he is able to get the usernames back and take a look at the other stuff, then I'll submit a second list. About load times - I wouldn't expect any miracles, that may be a function of the server they're using for this board and let's face it, SDOE is a legacy product for these guys, not an asset they're going to through top drawer resources at. Before this place goes silent it tends to loose count on the cookies that show the green lights on unread posts then I stay away from posting. Speed is an issue also but since I am always in a fight with my ISP on this subject I did not know where to lay the blame. P.S. on the subject of silent I can not reach simfiles. It could be caused by a DNS problem so if you can, could you post the IP address. Thanks BF IP: Logged

WM unregistered	posted 01-19- 04:28 PM Jerry - it seems we both see FSIC the same way, because when you've commented on it being slow I've had the same, and I've noticed the same thing too, that its sped up recently. That makes me think it just has something to do with the server their using plus typical internet traffic delays. PSII - Thanks, I'll do my best for you guys.
