Looks really cool...and cold ...As you may guess, I find that Finland part really interesting. I had a bit of an idea that Murmask may have a partof Finland included...Too bad I got this information this late, but if there is anything I can do that is in my cababillity, can´t do much, but it´s always worth to ask, just let me know..., I´d love to do something for this great and long wanted terrain...good job...
TFF...
btw...we´re workin´on Finnish skins for SDOE, they might be needed, when the fighting starts...

Thanks Razer I'd like that one too,
the front with those guns looks a little like the Seversky P35s we had in Sweden until SAAB provided the J22 fighter

Sorry Vahn I think you got me wrong here.
I DON'T mean that one of the above IS a Seversky, I just meant it looked like one with the nose guns
AND YES, if you're refering to the one we had in Sweden, it IS P35...Seversky P35 & not P36 alright

Desert Fox, Might I make a suggestion? Be sure that the towns and factories are "organized" meaning that they fit the texture and just arent placed in random spots. (I say this after looking at the first screen shot)

Looking good and cold!

Just a thought Gustavo¤
From being up skiing in the north I think the icy & snowy parts could be slighly more blue/white in the "unpopulized" areas but keeping the colour you got around the industrial areas to make it dirty from the smoke STILL it looks super as it is & not worth doing if it's too many tiffies to change
Finn! any opinion on snow colour since you're probably closest to this place of all of us

Diego, I will answer you your question in Spanish so that it is not distorted: Utilicé una herramienta de pothoshop llamada reeplazar color, y lo aplique sobre el color arena de una ciudad ya existente. Se vaja la saturacion al maximo y aplico una aumento de brillo de 65. Asi es que todo lo que es arena se torna blanco, y los demas colores segun la proporcion de ese tono que tengan..... por ejemplo el azul del mar no se modifica.

ArgonV: You are right, I will make the cities taking care of that detail. The one that presents in the image, made it with difficulty to have an idea of like it will be with factorys them; then I will correct it.

Murmansk sure is lookin´great...and cold...
about the skins...Diego made a beautiful skin for Ju88 too. Now I´m suggesting, that Diego´s Me109 G6´s will be included to skin pack too, maybe Diego could make some winter modification to it??? Me109 was our best fighter a was used in that area too...as you all know, skin can be found here: http://paintshed.users1.50megs.com/finn.html
use it..it´s useful, beautiful and historically accurate...

And another issue is for The Fox...about that map above...it´s lookin´cool, but one thing jumped to my eyesight. It´s that swastika in Finland. To be correct, Finnish swastiga had nothing to with the nazi symbol. Our symbol was blue and white, it´s not in oblique angle and was used long before the nazis.

The first symbol was born when swedish von Rosen donated Thulin typ D to Finlands white army in 1918. (In Finlands early years there was cruel national war where were goverments white army against revolutional red army). The Swastika was the symbol of Mr von Rosen and it was adopted to FAF to honour him.(thanks to Llv34 for the exact info)
We fought on the axis side, that´s true, but we had our own symbols and our own meanings for them.
I was thinkin´,can you change that sign,if it´s possible. Blue and white swastika was used in ground forces too, so it was our official war symbol with Finnish lion..

You´ll get a peak of Finnish swastika from here: http://www.kolumbus.fi/llv24/
but anyway thank you for including part of Finland to this great game, you´ve made me vere proud ..and the help offer is still remaining...well done, Fox...

Ok Flying Finn, I will fix that symbol of Finland, and I will place the correct swastika

SteveTheDrummer: I interpret that what you say, is that it lacks but I fry to the landscape......... there are sectors that correspond to the tundra of Finland, and there the snow mixes with rocks, earth and vegetation. Other parts of this terrain are very snowy and with a certain blue tone......... then I will show but images........ (I am basing myself in documental of the Discoveri Channel, and in my own experience during the military service that I made it in the south of my country with temperatures of -20 ºC)

Did you know that prior to the Nazi's taking control of Germany there was an American Army patch (I forget for which unit, but I have seen it in the books...) that bore a swastika? The first time I saw it I was amazed. Needless to say, that unit changed their emblem immediatly... (Before the war...)

Another bit of swastika trivia - There was a pin that was traded between groups of Boy Scouts before wwii that had a blue reverse-swastika on it. It was a friendship token.

Wow, I just noticed the map - great job Gustavo! I wouldn't have seen it, but its amazing how good a fit that is. Have you been able to remove the islands from the terrain itself, or are they still there (the ones in the North East corner)?

T.F.F. expect some "Lapp Storkar" to come scouting on Finnish territory once in a while you see, 26 or 28 Fi storches emergency landed in Sweden... so we made a whole air rec. squad with them
I've got the scheme for one and will do it sometime if there's interest in one

UtsJoki is a good choise...But I must warn you guys...remember to put enough clothes, before you take the flight...for example,January 1943,in Utsjoki, temperature was between -28c and -42c for almost three weeks...
And in february 1998 temp dropped all the way to -55.2c at there..

Sorry I can´t convert these to fahrenheits, but maybe someone else can and would..I´d appreciate it, so everyone will get the point where they are coming to...
Happy Landings..
