... is a completely fresh install. SDOEII, with the latest patch, planes, ground units, sounds, skins, etc. Re-installing is a pain, and I have 270M of installer files stored on my drive, just to do a re-install. We probably can't do it, due to copyright issues, bandwidth limitations, and the like, but it is truely what we need most right now. IP: Logged |

I think this is something to seriously consider once the DIME and BASE Packs are done. Reinstalling is the biggest pain! Just having to search around for files and minor fixes to fixes makes me shiver.IP: Logged |

yes yes yes!! if some 1 couldwork out a installer (for ALL FILES) andthen some 1 could put it all on aCD then send it out to people.. or maybe 3 CDs:PIP: Logged |

Yep I agree. But please let's wait what the DIME with the BP will do  Mhhhm in the meantime let's create a new 'Online-Standard' please! I mean a standard that everyone has to fullfill if he want's to get online (not much let's say PP6.1, NP2, Jeeves loadout and Bavaria...that's it).
And most of all let's update the FSIC mainpage section 'onlinestandard'.

I think a new standard is a great idea, ad I think the Dime Project will go a long way to a simplified standard too.Meanwhile, I had an idea that kept me up last night. If somebody has all the planes, terrains, vehicles, nations, sounds, patches, missions, etc, and is running very stable both online and off, and has a CD burner, I will send you one blank cd, $10.00 US, and a self addressed, stamped return package to burn me a copy of your entire SDOE directory (less the textures since I can re-make those). That should work just like a new install, I just overwrite my directory and "poof" I'm good as gold on one disk. IP: Logged | |
