Yes its alive, yes its been delayed tons, yes its largely my fault, yes I'm sorry.

Just thought I'd nip that one in the bud.

To the subject at hand: While going through the files in the first build of the project, I noticed that for some strange reason a hodge-podge of planes have their hangar information included in data6.par (the current Nations parfile) for some strange reason. Unless there are serious objections, they're getting tossed as I believe that a) they shouldn't be in there to begin with b) they were included by mistake in Nations 2 along with a WWIOP loader which is also gone now.

I will of course test this, but I thought I'd give you guys a heads up so that if you are working on these planes, I would appreciate it if you would include the hangar info in your future releases. Also, I think the base pack will end up having all the hangar info anyways.

Just as an example of the strange mix contained here are some examples:

For the UK,

Beau21, BeauI, BeauVI, BeauX, BristolF2b, Cors2, Hurrimki, SE5a, SopPup, Spit1a.

For Germany,

a6m5 (yes, the zero), bf109e, bf109g, FokkerDr1A, FokkerDVIII, Go229, He100d, Heinkel162, Ju88G7b, Ta152, TigerII

I think the fact that some old planes (ie: German zero) and the mix of long-time WWIOP planes is proof that the inclusion of these files was a mistake I made when I packaged up Nv2 and not a deliberate decision.

As stated above, if anyone has objections to their removal from data6.par please let me know asap. I'll flag this for the beta test but I don't forsee any problems, plus to be honest I don't think they belong in Nations anyways.

Argon, if you're referring to an email, it was lost along with all my other emails about two weeks ago, so please bear with me.

While its nice to know you sorted yourself out, how about the other wwi planes? These files are all contained in the wwi pack I would imagine? What I don't want is to delete them and have b****ing afterwards about how Nations screws up this pack or that pack. One of my biggest pet peeves about user game mods is the patching, and patches for initial patches, etc. which can sometimes happen. I don't want to get into this with Nations.

Werner... If I were you, I would pull the lot of them regardless. They are not part of Nations, and shouldn't be there anyway.

Might be worth checking PP6 or 6.1 just to see if they are there, and if not, make sure the Base pack people include the files when they release.

Certainly with the WW1 planes, they should all be in the pack. If they are not, it isn't your fault This sort of tidying is an essential part of cleaning up SDOE add-ons!
