Steffen. I will modify the major airfields from dover and Rhineland. Then u can switch the lights on or off using the Missioneditor.Rendsburger IP: Logged |

Great stuff! Will we be able to control the airfields individually? I ask because I would like to be able to turn friendly ones on so I can land, and enemy ones off, so it's not easy to find and hit them if they're my target. ------------------ Be seeing you, 3dp Visit RAF Harkness! IP: Logged |

Hi rends, you shure just lit my Christmas tree...Love it, Looonged for it & please could you do it for the Tundra /Smolensk terrain too 'cause I'd love to fly some dark-cold-Swedish-up-north-winter-night missions with this terrain AND find my way back home without cheating IP: Logged |

3dp, i´m not sure if it is possible to switch them on or off during a mission. What i´m thinking about is to make the runwaylights part of the terrain and u can turn them on for nightmissions and of for daylight runs. And only one major runway of a big airbase will get those lights. Steve, yes i´m thinking about creating lights for other terrains too but Dover and Rhineland will get them first.Rendsburger IP: Logged |

Looks Great Rends! I have a LOTOFFUN with your searchlights and lampposts trying to make a dramatic Battleship harboring fjord nighttime using Abbeville in Nats Excellent Snowy Dover.;D Maybe we could have more placeable stuff like the lampposts though BIGGER, maybe like hangar-subpen-harbour illuminating spotlights IP: Logged |

Hey CowHunter, this is what I've wanted in SDOE for so long! I ran the test mission but I'm wondering if the lights can be A) brighter, as they're a tad hard to see above a few hundred feet high, and or B) spaced closer together as in the pic you've posted up top as my fps were quite decent, around 60 for me.Like your searchlights, these are really great work too Rends. ------------------ [This message has been edited by MadCow (edited 12-30-2001).] IP: Logged |

Dear Rends... First of all, I´d like to inform you, that Mika Häkkinen is still the King Of F1..and now to the point: The runwaylight testing is all my pleasure, and yes, I didn´t think of the framerate issue at all, sorry about that. Guess I just want a lots of everything...You´re right about the framerates gettin´ down a bit. Mine lowered about 10 notches, and in some cases that can be too much. Now I looked at your lights with different eyes (tecnic look), and they are still just great and everything works for me fine...TFFIP: Logged |

Dear Rends...I really think this is the wrong place to talk about this, but I´ve noticed, that members of this communinty are really open minded , so...If you look back the seasonslike this:...Mika had very bad luck, impossible things happened to him: he lost his tire, fuel didn´t come out of the tube, gear box brokedown twice, a stupid jerk came jumpin´around the track and they had to call safety car and Mika lost his lead, engine broke down in last round well you could go on this list almost forever...As you saw in Indianapolis, when things worked out, he won... ...and he will win in the future too,he told me so and I must bellieve him.. P.s Your runwaylights are great...TFF [This message has been edited by Flying Finn (edited 01-01-2002).] IP: Logged |

I Salute you Herr CowHunter! They are FANTASTIC now and easy to see from around 4,000 feet alt. Can they be lowered at all to below minimum prop height? They're a bit easy to hit with the prop tip if you're not careful enough on taking off and landing. In cockpit fps at 3,500 feet alt were around mid to high 30's and in ext view to around 65 with my Ti200 GF3. These progressively got right up to between 70 - 90 fps at around 10,000 feet alt. I was amazed to see that the lights twinkle on and off from any alt Very nice indeed! You MUST however place them on more than just one of the main runways of the airfields you do this for, please herr cowhunter do this Do you know how to get rid of the illuminated rainbow by any chance? As always, Great work Rends Moo ------------------ [This message has been edited by MadCow (edited 01-02-2002).] IP: Logged |

Way to go Rends...you´re the man!!! Looks even better! And still works fine. And I also noticed that there is a collision factor in the lights too...flew by one of them ...How about lighting up few houses in towns too...?? And that lighthouse Steffen mentioned ...Good Job!! TFF P.S.Now they are brigter, so there is no need to be more of them... IP: Logged |

Looked better than I thought they would (and I had expectations) now I can't wait to try v.2 and, yes please lit up the lighthouse & a few houses too. That would make such a nice view, barely making it home from a mission in the dark FS is great with these atmospheric additions so thanks Rends b.t.w. guys check out Nats beta IL4 bomber (if it's available) great plane and yes it's got spotlights on the wings like the Defiant will have & hopefully more planes.
