History Channel, Sunday 16 December 2001, 10:00pm EST (and repeated at 2:00am), an hour long documentary devoted to the Lancaster. Might be on at 9 and again at 1, I'm not entirely sure about the hour, only caught the ad briefly.------------------

Whoops! Just confirmed that it is in fact on at 9:00pm EST in the US (repeated at 1:am).------------------

I remember maybe 10 years ago at the airshow in Halifax NS ... there was a restored flying Lancaster which did low level pass overs .... man that was impressive. Even though it's not a big show like in some US places, it had some ww2 planes. Last year's show had none ... all modern jets which while impressive in their noise and abilities just aren't anywhere near as impressive as ww2 planes. IP: Logged |
