All up and working with version 10 here IF you install it to another directory then you must copy sdoe.ini and server.dat maybe keyboard.ini too i'm not sure. but i put it in there as a backup anyway

A big thanks to the Patch Team, well worth the wait, Direct3d gives an extra 20 fps over Open GL, OpenGL has the edge on colours, just that extra bit of depth, I don't know which to choose now .IP: Logged |

Just start the game with: "C:\Games\Fighter Squadron\SDemons.exe" /oRecorded.txt and then to play the movie "C:\Games\Fighter Squadron\SDemons.exe" /iRecorded.txt Create some shortcuts, use the above as command lines, and change the path to where you have the exe in the examples above. (I haven't tried this with the patch but I guess it will work there too if you just change the name). Good luck!

Aui, can you describe what this should be doing? I tried it following your instructions, but I don't understand how to get the movie to play. When I used the /o switch _something_ happened but it's not clear what, when the game started it was in a different resolution (640x480 I think) but otherwise played normally. When I used the /i swtich nothing seemed to change at all. I also don't see a Recorded.txt, which I assume you would expect to see. Is there is missing space in your instructions or something? Does this work with the patch? Maury IP: Logged |

Thanks for the patch VDU, some great improvements. Love how you've fixed the cockpit clipping in padlock view, what a difference ! As Nat said great to have overcast clouds back, but I have a small problem with them in certain missions. The overcast appears pitch black ! Is this due to possible mismatch with an old mission editor setting ? or could it be a new texture related problem (seems to happen in missions where I have experienced blocky clouds in the past). Don't know if anyone else has experienced it, but seem to get better frame rate in OpenGL now, and ground textures look a little sweeter. Even if it's the placebo effect, I appreciate it anyway GREAT WORK !------------------ Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition [This message has been edited by Dance (edited 11-24-2001).] IP: Logged |
