Of all the sticks/combos I've used, CH is the best one of the bunch.Satiek Cyborg 3d (game port) has the best feel/hand position but after about a year of use the stick went "south", it would lose it's calibration after about 10 minutes of flying. The sensitivity was fine and this stick was very good but it just didn't hold up. Customer support stinks. Easy to setup a profile.
Satiek X36/35 (game port) never really worked too good for me, it was also too sensitive and you had to use stickworks which made the stick feel to mushy. Also the programming of the keys was a pain, and didn't work too good either, but this was the game port one. The X36 never felt as good as the Cyborg but the X35 (throttle) was nice. Customer support stinks.
MS Sidewinder (gameport, forget the model number) was way too sensitive for me. Returned it the next day.
Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital 3D (USB) is a great stick for around $35.00. So far it's held up great, but it does have some slop in the handle for turning the rudder. All in all a good stick. Easy to setup a profile.
Thrustmaster TopGun is a good stick too but the rubber boot kept breaking from the base after some use. I must say that the people from Thrustmaster are the best in support. I got a new TopGun after calling about the rubber boot breaking but after the second one broke it was time to move on. The stick has a heavy spring in it, very stiff but once the rubber boot breaks, it gets very sloppy. It also doesn't have a throttle.
CH CombatStick, ProPeddles and ProThrottle all USB, is the best I've had. The Peddles and Throttle are the best feel and the Stick is good but not the best. What makes this combo the best IMO is the ProThrottle which has software that makes older games like SDOE read my setup as a 6 axis, 32 button joystick, which means I can use my throttle, peddles and stick, and they work! I can also program my joystick buttons 32 of them for old sims. Very easy to use the profile, and program buttons. In newer sims like CFS2 and IL2 I can program up to 256 keys. The sensitivity is great in all flight sims I've flown, SDOE, Jane's WWII, IL2, Falcon 4.0, EAW, and CFS2. You can also use a button on the throttle as a mouse, the peddles have a toe brake too. CH is also very well made and has yet to feel worn out or sloppy. IMO CH is the best. And one more thing, the profiler doesn't use up the cpu's like most joystick profilers but you need to calibrate the stick with CH's calibration and not windows.
