It is a time of caution, a time of war. The USSR has fallen leaving one super power, the United States of America. Now under assault by soul-less terrorists it (the USA) fights for its life. It is not a battle of economics or comfort. Nor is it a battle for territory or natural resources. It is a battle for survival. A battle the USA could all too easily loose. The loss will not likely occur on the military front, nor will it occur on the political front. The most major battlefield of this war is economics. The enemy picked the opening blow of the war carefully. The intent? Shut down (or slow down) the US economy. At the same time cause event(s) that will require the spending of billions of dollars. The end result being that the USA crumbles inwardly from too much debt. This is much the same reason the USSR fell (though the reason for the debt was different).

What can we do? Support your government and live your lives as normal. Take steps to be prepared. Be more aware, more alert and more responsible. These things being done, live your life as you would have. If you had something planned then do it. If your neighbors falter support them. Remember that UNITED we stand, and if we be truly united no power on earth can overcome us.

Should the creators of terror succeed, then no country on the face of the earth is safe. The Evil of anarchy will reign. For this reason alone (and there are many, many more), the purveyors of terror cannot be allowed to succeed.

One of the tenants of wartime journalism is to support and uplift the people at home so let me leave you with this last thought:

Fear can be a powerful influence, however the following holds true more so now then ever in the past:

Almost 70 years ago Franklin D. Roosevelt told us that "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself - nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes.... "
