This is version 1.0, so be kind with any comments.

The Junkers Ju-52 floatplane can be used in a variety of roles, which includes transport, bombing, dropping paratroops and search & rescue. More importantly it has an effective 'real' water take off and landing system.

A terrain-covering seaplane landing zone has been included which allows this seaplane to land / take off at any time in the 'open' sea and most rivers or lakes. If other planes / objects fall over this zone they hit the water and are destroyed.

The aircraft also operates successfully from 'dirt' airfields. AI can perform water take offs from the seaplane base. In the down load there is a comprehensive guide on how to operate the '52' from the seaplane base and the open ocean. The zip file includes fifteen training missions for the Dover terrain.

Features:

*Effective 'real' water take off and landing system
*Ordnance: 12 x 50lb bombs and up to 14 paratroopers
*Armament: 13mm MG 131 dorsal gun
*New engine damage model, exhaust pipes, prop hubs, radio mast / antenna wire and crew ladder
*Port door opens outwards (using the 'O' key)
*Starboard door slides backwards for paratrooper deployment (using the 'D' key)
*Night lights which can be switched on /off via the aircraft load out or a keystroke command
*The pilot's head moves insync with stick position and there is a beaching gear indicator light
*Supports up to 1024 x 1024 aircraft 'skins'
*1.5.2.9 'patch' compatible
*Animated downed pilot, updated paratroopers (with helmets, backpacks and guns) and a friendly agent included in the zip

Please read the 'Readme' and 'Seaplane_Ops' files. Junkers Ju-52 Floatplane (835k) available at:

Mace, you did a great job. But there is one thing I don't like at all. Credit stealers. You say "new skin", I dissagree. It is not a new skin, it is a MODIFIED SKIN. And just who, might you ask, created the base for this modification?? Me! How about a little credit here? You may have changed a few things but I put hours into all that weathering, corrigation, everything. So, what have you got to say?

Like you, I think it is important to give credit where the author is known. I've always tried to do this, especially where artwork is concerned, see;
http://www.simfiles.com/scripts/singlefile.php3?fileid=642
http://www.simfiles.com/scripts/singlefile.php3?fileid=636
http://www.simfiles.com/scripts/singlefile.php3?fileid=648

In Rendsburger's excellent Ju-52 V2 zip (which the Ju-52 floatplane is based on) unfortunately the outstanding skin's author was not given.

Well, as long as it was a mistake. That makes me feel better about it. Perhaps I overreacted. You really did a great job, and admire you for bringing this community water landings, something we had tried to achieve for a while. Cheers.

Mace,
the Ju 52 floatplane is GREAT!
Now whe can see what happened if a REAL planebuilder worked on the auntie Ju

Iīm busy with Torbruk atm,but iīm sure i will bring some of your enhancements to the normal version in future!

About credits:
There is no readme file in the normal Ju52 version except the one Raider did for the paratrooper, because he wrote all needed information in his readme.
AND i didnīt want to confuse the user because off my english
There were also so many guys who helped me out to create this plane so i didnīt want to write a readme with one or to guys missing in the credits wich i canīt remember.
Now whe see what happened...
Aladar, donīt worry. Most guys know that u made this great looking skin for the Ju52 if they watch this board frequently!
And whe have to thank you for some other great stuff u made for SDOE too!!!
