No doubt about it. There has been some awesome terrain work - I love the Pacific! - but Bavaria is a must-have. During my recent rebuild, my SDOE reinstall was laid out thus...sim, patch 1.5, Nations 2, PP6, patch 2.9, PP 6.1, Bavaria. IMO, it is part of the install of the sim, now. If I had only room for one, Bavaria would be it.------------------ nealg=FC= IP: Logged |

Bavaria ROCKS!For me it is the BEST of them all and is now the terrain I use mostly for online flying. Nat, can you clarify a few things for me pls? I have begun mission making in earnest using BT but I am finding that there appears to be at least 2 targets on the radar map marked as large red x's (one being the Comm Site at grid reference -7862, -15365), yet when I actually try to physically locate them I can not see them. Also, the four Bayern targets grouped very close together will not show up for me on the radar map (with Red X's) when I select them as a mission objective. Same thing if I give Neuschwanstein Catsle a mission objective, no red x. Finally, the Comm Site at grid reference 59365, 21231 always reverts to being "allied" after I mark it and save it as being "axis". I realise that this Bavaria Terrain masterpiece is not completed and is a work still in progress and my comments are not intended in any way to be negative, rather a a request for help with the issues I have identified as a mission builder. Many thx and my compliments to the ENTIRE Bavaria Team for delivering to us this FANTASTIC piece of work! ------------------ IP: Logged |

Bavaria is _great_. Unfortunately, there are no areas that are good for "snicking" in... Like the canyon in the Rhineland terrain etc... Thats ok though. I can die just as gloriously one place as the other . So, good job!!![This message has been edited by Snickers (edited 10-16-2001).] IP: Logged |

I don't know Snick....it is fun scooting down through the canyon that the train tracks are in....and I have done pretty well banking around the castle ------------------ Brought to you by the campaign for a better Dauntless! Jeeves =FC= IP: Logged |

K2, while working at Bavaria i had never played with the Radar option and i guess nobody else too. For the radar sites i can tell u that they were never made by Parsoft to set them as mission objective, thats why you canīt select them in other terrains using the ME. Itīs the same with the coastguns at the dover terrain. I only put the dots into the missioneditor map so you know where they are located but changing allegiances didnīt work, well this can be changed in an update if needed. So what u see at Neuschwansstein is still the same. The industry targets at Landsberg should work as mission objectives and they do it for me.But no idea why they didnīt appear using the radar. Iīm sure i will go on working at Bavaria in future but i cant tell you when. Rendsburger IP: Logged |
