I have 3D Max. ¿Does some plugin exist to add to this program that he/she makes it compatible with those. LOD of Open Planes?------------------ I./JG 27 Alle Messerschmitt bf109 IP: Logged |

I'm also a long term Max user (currently max4), AFAIK there are no plugins for LODs, but we use Obj format with max and OPS, so the plugins you need are:Obj2Max and Max2Obj for which ever version you are using. You will find these here: http://www.habware.at/ente.htm (just click the linkfor the version you are using to go to the plugins for them) IP: Logged |

I DO have a plug-in for MAX3 to allow you to export to LOD format and MAX has remembered the mapping coords but most of the time it looses them. I've been moving files from MAX to AC3D a lot in the last 3 weeks. I can export a file to MAX and make changes with MAX tools then export to AC3D without loosing coords if the object is mapped. Let me know and I'll send you the LOD plug-in for you to try out. (I have no idea where I got it but I do have one) [This message has been edited by Razer (edited 10-10-2001).] IP: Logged |

Thank you friends. The problem of exporting as. obj, is that he/she gets lost the coordinate of the texture. Perhaps don't happen if I can export it direct to MAX. Razer, please send me that plugin for e-mail, he will be grateful. ¿Should I place it in MAX'S directory plugin?------------------ I./JG 27 Alle Messerschmitt bf109 IP: Logged |

mail me at razlude@bellsouth.net and I'll send it over. If you want to use MAX for AC3D and don't want to use OPS then use AC3D. Export files from AC3D to MAX using XRML2 and import files from MAX using 3ds. you can swap back and forth and 9 times out of 10 the mapping coords stay. then all you need to do is export the file in LOD format with A3D and use OL Tools. exporting as an Obj from OPS NEVER loses the texture co-ords. If you export an Obj, import it into Max, then export it, and import it back into OPS the texture co-ords are exactly the same. I'm not sure what problem you're having here. The texture wont show up in Max no matter how you export from OPS. Maybe if you explain the problem you're having we can tell you how and why and explain how to work around. Hope we can help you out.~Nat~ IP: Logged |

Razer: See their e-mail NAT: I export the files like. OBJ, and the work in Ac3D. They conserve the order of the original texture there. But when I import him again to OP as. OBJ, gets lost the order of the texture. It seems that that doesn't happen to the files. LOD; but, with them I cannot arrive to Ac3D.IP: Logged |

aahhh ok, I thought you were talking about Max and not AC3D, I've never used AC3D so I'm not any help in that area, hopefully Razer will fix you up with what you need IP: Logged |
