While the loadout changes I have made are not yet ready for public consumption (If someone could contact me and help me figure out how to package them up, along with some cool new weapons, I would love to release them for testing!!!)-- I do have something for those who are actively modeling now.I have painstakenly gone through each and every gun/cannon/rocket/and bomb book, journal, etc that I could find and found the accurate values for them-- weights, warheads, etc...and then taken and put them into SDOE values. These have been verified by a view and have been found to be accurate-- so to save myself later loadout work, please try to use these values for your loadout.ppf's. I have all the references I used included in the docs...they are here: www.simfiles.com ------------------ Brought to you by the campaign for a better Dauntless! Jeeves =FC=

Hi Jeeves,I'm still here pluging away. My advice would be to make a directory called "loadouts" or similiar and then put a sub-directory for each plane under the "loadouts" diretory. Put the appropriate loadout file into each planes directory and then zip up the "loadouts" directory. It shouldn't be a big file, and I believe it should be small enough to email to me or upload to simfiles for all who need it. Thanks for all your work on this. ------------------ Condor out IP: Logged |

Well ideally, I would like it included in a par file or the next plane pack....but I don't think anyone is working on the next plane pack. What I need is a way to make it available for people to test. I also have the new weapons to contend with. I can make up a loadouts zip pretty easily as you say Condor, but I guess what I want to know is-- is this the easiest way to do it for people, or is there another way? And more importantly, is there interest in this? Our population has dwindled, and I'd hate to see all this work wasted, but there's no sense in setting it up if only one person wants it Please add thoughts here if anyone is interested!!! I am still actively modelling... Very slowly though. But I will probably be the last one LOL!I haven't found a better modelling platform yet. IL-2 looks killer but I don't like the idea of doing Oleg and team's work for free. Jeeves, I tried to send up a small update of your very useful document, let me know if you don't receive it (I may be using an old address). Update: email bounced back. Please email me if you are interested (address in profile) [This message has been edited by Pachy (edited 10-08-2001).] IP: Logged |

Hi Jeeves,All your work will not be wasted. As I am working on the USA BP, what I plan to do is just extract the loadouts I need for the USA planes. The other packs will follow. So my vote for the best way is to create the zip file and upload it to simfiles. Condor out ------------------ Condor out IP: Logged |
