goth Pilot	posted 10-01- 08:47 PM Okay, I got my new system working. I'm getting the new hi-res skins, but I don't know for sure what the standard is anymore. Is the "Official Standard" as stated on this site correct? Or is the defacto standard the latest PP and the latest patch? IP: Logged
weasel Pilot	posted 10-02- 07:21 AM Good question. I used to have the best luck with Patch 1.5.2.9 and pack 6.1. But the stated standard was patch 1.5 and pack 6.0. There is a team of enthusiasts now that call themselves 'The Crew'. They are working on a new standard that will have a Base Pack. It is due out anytime. Hope this helps... weasel IP: Logged

wakeup tailgunner JAG	posted 10-03- 09:24 AM I didn't know that pp6.1 was standard yet...I thought there were problems with it. Also, 1.5.9 patch has a serious problem with the function code. There is a nwe release planned ( soon I hope ) which resolves this issue. Some people have been released copies for evaluation. It isn't perfect yet, but it is being worked on. A lot of things in the plane-packs don't work properly with 1.5.9 .... I use 1.5.9 for WW1, but then there isn't the same level of reliance on beraking dof's etc. so we are not badly effected by it. This stuff should be standard when it is fixed, but not till then. The Crew are dealing with the pack side, so I am staying well clear of WW2 online until they release teh definitive standard IP: Logged

Werner Molders JAG	posted 10-03- 10:06 AM PR's tournament a while back made 6.1 the de facto standard among most of the online crowd. I think the rationale was that it needed testing before further work could be done, further work which hasn't taken place and is irrelevant now because the Crew is working on a new scheme. Goth - the .9 patch is getting the most action online (what little action there is to be had...), maybe the best plan is if you find some people online just ask them what they use and after two or three such encounters decide which of 6.0/6.1 to install. Karaya 2 Pilot	posted 10-04- 04:59 AM Heya Goth I still fly online quite often. Just ask Rendsburger... He's prolly sick of me trying to pump him full of .303's when ever we meet in the sdoe skies! Sdoe IS making an online come back. The best times to fly -IMO- is either Friday and or Saturday from GMT 21:30 onwards. These times were the old Squad War start times and a lot of us still turn up in the 1.5.2.9 Patch Lobby at these times. This is what you'll need if you wanna join us online and be compatible with the dozen or so who still fly at these times: FS CD, Patch 1.5, Nations2, PP6.0, PP6.1 and Patch 1.5.2.9. Through out PR's Tournament we also used Ground Pack 1 alot though GP2 is now out. I am not aware of how many people are using it online. We are also using the new Bavaria terrain on line a fair bit. It's a 23 meg download and IMO is absolutely brilliant and a 'must have'. If you require any help at all in setting up PP6.1 and Patch 1.5.2.9 just holler. If you have RW we can set you up on the =FC= channel. It'd only take about 15 or 20 minutes to do, just ask Blitzz, Minheim or Tigger.. If you don't have RW I can email some help.
