Ok guys, I've got an idea or two brewing for a low-input, high-output (fun!) kind of side project but I need to know a couple things from you. First of all, it has to do with online stuff. Second of all this is not a survey of what you wish were the case, or what in-your-humble-opinion should be the case, rather what actually is your setup on your computer. I need this information to make a couple of design decisions before I proceed. Please respond only if you would be prepared to play online in missions heavily biased towards ground pack 2 units on a Friday Night and/or Saturday Morning MST, which is GMT -7. Since the start times would be 12 hours apart I figure we can get good coverage all across the globe so people can join in on at least one "frame" of this event.Ok, if you've skipped the preamble because it was long and verbose, stop now and go read it. Otherwise, please answer the following, your input is very important to me. *Note: For developers and other people with more than one install of SDOE, the following refers to the install which you would use to play online. 1. Do you use plane pack 6.0, or 6.1? 2a. Do you fly Mace's water-landing planes? (don't say yes just to be nice, this isn't a vote about Mace or his work and for my purposes a decisive result in this case is not necessarily as the majority will vote) 2b. If no, would you be willing to install them for this event? 3. Do you have any reluctance installing betas such as the P40 or the Ju52 which are known to be of good quality from the point of view that the betas don't require patches to get them to run, and that new versions of said planes aren't issued frequently. 4. Do you use Roger Wilco online? 5. Would you be willing to install an add on (a little piece of genious fresh from the HMW ) even if it were issued in an .exe format and you weren't told what it is, but that it is not a plane and won't mess up anything to do with your planes? (the point is that we can add a shot of extra immersion when this gem takes you by surprise in a mission) 6. Do you use Nv1 or higher? Ok folks, just a reminder, only answer if you would be interested in flying online on a Friday and/or Saturday in largely ground missions sometime 3-6 weeks from now (dates tba). Thanks! Hi Werner,1. Do you use plane pack 6.0, or 6.1? 6.1 2a. Do you fly Mace's water-landing planes? (don't say yes just to be nice, this isn't a vote about Mace or his work and for my purposes a decisive result in this case is not necessarily as the majority will vote) Only one older version. 2b. If no, would you be willing to install them for this event? Absolutely Yes 3. Do you have any reluctance installing betas such as the P40 or the Ju52 which are known to be of good quality from the point of view that the betas don't require patches to get them to run, and that new versions of said planes aren't issued frequently. No reluctance to install them. 4. Do you use Roger Wilco online? I have it but during the war we abandoned it due to its poor performance. 5. Would you be willing to install an add on (a little piece of genious fresh from the HMW ) even if it were issued in an .exe format and you weren't told what it is, but that it is not a plane and won't mess up anything to do with your planes? (the point is that we can add a shot of extra immersion when this gem takes you by surprise in a mission) Yes I trust you. 6. Do you use Nv1 or higher? Nation V 2.0
I am looking forward to this. It sounds great. ------------------ Condor out IP: Logged |

Thanks guys, keep it coming. One or two more points -Missions will be built for a minimum of 6 players, maximum 10. -Nv2 is standard, but in the event someone decided not to reply because they only have Nv1, not to worry, I'll only be using Nv1 squads because of some strange bug action some people have had online with Nv2 squads (this will be addressed for Nv3) -If this goes well, ie: turnout, enthusiasm, etc. there will be another event around Christmas time with "added functionality". Hi Werner, 1. Do you use plane pack 6.0, or 6.1? 6.1 2a. Do you fly Mace's water-landing planes? If, I have the Spitfire, ¿ is there but models ? 2b. If no, would you be willing to install them for this event? YES 3. Do you have any reluctance installing betas such as the P40 or the Ju52 ? If, I have them 4. Do you use Roger Wilco online? No, writing in English can also defend, but speaking....... 5. Would you be willing to install an add on Yes...... 6. Do you use Nv1 or higher? Nv1 Werner, I have participated on-line several times of encounters, and in an or another way we are able to understand each other with the other ones. I clarify this because, if you believe that with the limitation of me not to speak English cannot participate, there is not problem. In general, with short and concrete questions, I can manage myself well I am in GMT-4
