I reinstalled sdoe all terrrains...but now my castle in bavaria is just some white sticks!! I treid reinstalling Bavaria but no change...any ideas? I love that terrain

as the builder of the castle, let me tell ya.. it's a bitch to T-map, it realy is very complicated, I tried for a cuople of weeks to get it right and never could, there's just so much to it, lots of walls, different sized parts, towers ect. We hope that one day it'll get mapped, but what usualy happens with SDOE is that if the texture ref isn't right, it pulls one from somewhere, I don't know how it decides which to use, but I know it can change, offentimes it'll seem like te ghost you're seeing (mine looked like that before I had to reformat and lost everything)It's just one of the parts of the terrain that needs finishing, but we didn't want to sit on it till it was finaly complete when it was good enough to use as is and enthusiasm was waining again (mine mostly lol) ~Nat~ IP: Logged |

Guys,
I had this problem initially too. All I was getting for the castle was white planes and sticks all stuck together. I found out that in order to at least have the castle textured in an all brown format was to do the following:
Go into "Media\targets\Bavaria\Neuschwanstein\" and copy the castle texture NeuCastle.tif. Then go to "Media\Structures\textures\" and paste it. If the above directories don't exist, create them, and the castle should be textured. It worked fine for me and is much better than what you have now..  Goodluck! ------------------

K2 my brothaa, how the hell you been? I haven't heard from you foever. Thanks a bunch for that information, sure looks better than little aeroplanes. I also took that texture and put some windows in it so if you or anyone else wants a copy I'd be glad to send it to ya. (Disclaimer; I am not a painter nor do I claim to be one. )Lemme know... Psi I have been good and miss shooting at you. Where have you been more to the point? I'll be in the FS Patch Lobby this Friday from 21:30 GMT onwards if you'd like to present me with a target...hehe. I've made some cool Bavaria missions we can use.

Actually K2 they are cut and pasted windows out of the church so now you understand that I'm truly not a painter, but thanks (for the kind cut and paste comments) Jeever old boy, no porblem, check yer mail. There will be two files, one is the brown and the other is a rustic exposed mortar, you decide which works in yer "hood" Let me know if you want to try the Mary Kay pink one P I went and checked my mail and, great pictures K2, what kind of fish is that, more importantly can you eat them? Hey Psi. Looked for you in lobby today but no go. Rendsburger, Galland, Viper & Patie were there though and your stained glass windows looked way cool as I flew my Pe2 just 5 feet away from them.. That's me in the top photo and two good mates in the other pics. The fish in all the pics are called mahi mahi or dolphin fish or dorado. Great Fun to catch and SUPERB to eat.. ------------------
