Okay, I've contacted a guy that has made models of the B-25 and Do-335. I've asked him if he'd like to help me with the design of these two A/Cs. If he does, I've asked that he supply me with the necessary photos so that I can use PhotoModeler Pro to convert them to a 3D computer model. What I'd like to know is this. If I do the initial work would one of the designers like to do the work that I can't do in order to bring these two planes to completion? By that I mean the animation, weapon loadouts, avionics, and maybe some different skins. These I can't do because I simply don't have the necessary software of the talent (mostly the software).

hey looks whos back early.. (me)

I have an old model whirlwind made for the B-25 if you want it. Not sure how much other he has done but I still have it and a I can send you a copy of the B-26 to use a base so you have less work to do.

I also made this while I've been offline if anyone wants to put it in game.

The C-46 is mapped and just needs to be cut up and placed in game. All the control surfaces are there they just need to be removed and placed in game with the other parts.

not really back. I'm still unpacking and still wont have a real net conn. for 2 months. I'm completely sucking all the bandwidth out of this 56k so i need cable bad.

I've gotta start another plane for a different flight sim this weekend and should be able to convert it to SDOE to if I keep the count under 3000.

B-25? Like this?

This is version 17 of whirlwinds model. I think with a few lighting fixes and mapping it would be fine in game.

Okay, maybe I won't do the B-25 seeing as how it is in the works.

The guy with the 1/48th scale Do-335 has said he would be willing to help. So, when I get the photos I'll begin working on that A/C. If there are any other planes you might want me to begin work on....yeah I know, all of them...please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Maybe Razer would be so kind as to fork over the incomplete B-25 to you Wolfe. That way we could at least have someone working on it.

Wulfe,

The B-25 isn't "in the works". That's the model razer was talking about (although it looks like he cleaned a few things up). Go ahead and take the model and run with it.

Razer has several other projects he's bringing to completion (like he said in his earlier post).

Whirlwinds model has been floating around for a while, but no one has picked it up and run with it yet.

Like Jug said I'm not working ont his plane I just have the model.

If wulf wants this model I'll send it and the latest B-26 so all that needs to be done is map the model and import it into game and you can use the 26 as a base so you don't have to start completely from scratch.

Whoa, wait a minute. I'm not able to do the work that needs to be done as I don't have the programs to do so. Now if you want me to do a B-26, or anything for that matter, with the program I do have I can, but I can only make the initial model. The rest of the work would have to be completed by someone other than myself. If nobody is interested in helping me complete them then there would really not be any point in me beginning them in the first place. So my question is this. If I can do most of the work on a model from scratch and export it to an .obj file format is there anyone that would be interested? If there is, then I will need to know if I need to make the plane in parts so that items such as the rudder, aielrons, turrets, and such can be assembled with another program and then animated. If there is no interest then please let me know and I'll not begin work until there is. Please guys, don't take this the wrong way. I just don't want to spend a lot of time on a project or projects and then have them sit on my HD with nowhere to go.

Gunner is it just us or does everybody love medium bombers? Personally I like B-25's and A-20's better than most fighters.

Razer,

Go ahead and send me the model if you've done anything to it. If you haven't, I'll use mine and see if I can put together a B-25 team.

That is, . . . AFTER the base pack is finished

Convert the Do335 photos into a model with your magic wand, then send it my way if you like.
