I copied this test from a reply to a post in another thread but really want to make it an issue for SDOE on it's own.

There are only 2 sims that can cut it for realism from now on.

SDOE and IL2

il2 is eastern front , Sdoe is ANY front lets not censor or sideline good sims in the general section of SDOE. We withstood Microsoft lets respect Maddox, he deserves it.
SDOE is the only sim that can be talked about with the same respect as the latest sim thats in development*

GIJeff an SDOE'er gave a very good boost for sdoe in the General of the IL2 forum
here.

I was most impressed. Good one Jeffrey

"SDOE did model the Revi in the 109 and the FW / Ta series correctly. I know because I was part of the team that built the aircraft "

With "Wings with Wires" redefining Open Plane, SDOE is the only sim that can evolve to the future from it's current base, I'm proud here sdoe and il2 behing talked about in eother lobbies. Other sims will close there doors because the will se it as a threat to their fan base. SDOE is immune from that. Once SDOE always sdoe, even tho you fly the best sim out at the time, you have to keep coming back to sdoe/OP forum for innovation, changes something different.

i've not downloading half the improvements that there has been, I've read about them and wait for them to be includ in an easy download pack, but thats a BIG addition in itself, just knowing that it's been made and one day you'll get it.

what do you feel about this subject, of respectful co-existence?

I just had a great flight in IL-2... no shooting, I ditched my squad mates and went for a sail. They were awful upset with me.

I flew through the clouds and visited the river that runs through it... and then set up and excecuted a perfect landing on the grass strip.

If IL-2 is fine enough to make general flying fun, then it is welcome company with SDOE

Pye, you may catch my reply in another post, but I have noting against IL2 or any other sim for that matter, but I do have to say that on this particular forum there is no peaceful co-exhistance , posts about IL2 should be directed to the Off Topic forum as most have done. I'm looking forward to IL2 (I have the beta) as much as the next man, but IL2 wont share the SDOE General forum

I did point out why I didn't like Aladars post in the thread you're taking about, enough said on the matter, I may have been a bit harsh, but it hit a nerve, didn't seem right to have a member basical saying he's left SDOE for IL2 Beta in a thread that 1. Had nothing to do with IL2, and 2. Saying this in a thread that had nothing to do with IL2 in the SDOE General forum lol

Realy, I'm not against IL2, can't wait to get my new g/card to make the most of it, but I don't need to be remineded that we may lose some members for a few months or a year LOL

I'm sure Oleg will do great from IL2, and he realy deserves it, he's ran a tight ship and got everything done that he wanted, or atleast, he's done everything we'd like to see in a sim right now. Respect to the man

many of us would not like to see blatant comments like

"I ditch this sim for another, so in saying that so should you"

here or in any forum.
thats not respectful comment but with comparisons when the quality of one pushes the quality of the other to new higher levels then it should be embraced.

The thrill of flying
