Would it be posible to have a sun thats visible and also blinding so you could make attacks out of the sun and also the padlock F1 mode could it be made so if you flew into a cloud or behind a hill it would not track that plane till it out from the hill or cloud and therefore visible again.

tell u what loco, I really don't think it's impossible to have it, well maybe it needs a lot of time for testing, fixing and setting, but it's prolly the next task Bryan's working on, ins't it?

Yes, indeed, Eyes, thanks for the plug!

I created a sun that was really only visible from inside the cockpit, and was always in the same position with respect to the cockpit. Basically, it was just another part of the plane (a CDial object) that rotated relative to the plane and therefore it stayed in the same spot in world coordinates.

As it was actually quite close to the plane, it covered everythingbehind it, and therefore you could loose view of the planes that were in that direction. But somehow it was not a complete solution and didn't catch with the community. I hope Bryan and the team will put a proper sun in one of their projects.

For what it's worth Geck I thought your Sun was GREAT, especially when viewed from within a very nice Soviet Jet Fighter!

Personally I'd rather have it instead of none at all.

li'l bastard,

Sorry, I wrote "impossible" but would like to say "very difficult". Mainly because after all these years playing SDOE and enjoying It, the sun itīs a Dream Yet.
Of course, with the talent of some great guys here maybe we could have a sun but I think that this job will be done by the WWW team....I hope.
