I know you are anxious (so am I ) But she looks better than she ever has before!!!
Here she is decked out as a Soviet GST!!!

These images can be seen full size at the SnickWerks....
If you are one of the people working on painting her for me please check your email as I finally got the file broken into pieces and uploaded..
I have found a problem with the texturing of the engines so please dont spend time painting them (or the turret).

The up side is, the wings are good enough to use as a template (yeah I know the easiest part.. )
Nothing else will move though so feel free to have at it...

The Black Cat pant job became especially war weary... (You land your plane in the ocean at 75+ and see how long it looks good ) I have no doubt they will get there... I have seen the beginning pics being done. One one of them I had to write back and ask if that was my plane!!!
I also like the paint job I had on the preliminary model (white hull, lighter blue than war time, red and white stipes on the tail and the Army start with a red dot in the center.... This pain scheme was retired in 1942 (woould you want a red circle on your plane when in the PTO???)
Anyway, thanks!

I got one question how would it land on frozen ice because if there is snow on the ground water should be frozen.

Well, model 5A (the one in the pics) and after had landing gear anyway... It also had a _very_ long cruising range. She could quite easily have started in Vladivostok or Murmansk. Depending on the route either one would have taken her over frozer ground (during most of the year...).

Of course, there was the PBY4 that landed in mud with only about 4" of water on top (emergency landing, they didnt know...) They flew her out of there too!!!
