Hi guys, I'm not going to be doing much more work on the IL4, I was going to keep it for myself, but think it's good enough for the community to have, because of this I would like one of our 512x512 or 1024x1024 artists to do a detailed skin for her. I have excellent 3ways (thanks to Tailgunner) that I used to build the base texture from, but I'm simply not skilled enough to produce a high detail skin.

If anyone would like to do this for the IL4 please let me know and I'll ship her over to you.

send the 3 views my way. I still have that brown scheme in the works and the 3 views would help move the painting a long. You still have the whole model in MAX? Think you can export the plane so it can be viewed in 3D Exploration? I can do it using the SM file but would be easier to get it from the mapped model in MAX.

I know this is a bit off this thread, but ... the hot weather got me flying your mig3 over Russia (this is the only wway to go) and I remembered it is missing it's pilot. Could you be so kind to tell me how to fix this small problem.

It doen not keep me from feeling all refreshed at the view of all that snow

And yes ... I always fly Pacific in the worst of winter.

Hi BF, the Mig has a pilot, but I probably never released it with the last Mig release, I'll sort it out thanks for the reminder

Nat I love your mig 3.i too have no pilot in mine.Also Both the La-7 and mig 3 have square shadows.I can live with this, but is it my machine or does everybody have this?By the way I do not have plane pack 6 becouse my machine keeps crashing.Rather anoying loseing so many missions.So I am down loading all the offline aircraft and placing them on a cd.I LOVE MY CD BURNER!When the new plane pack is ready Most of the aircraft will be on a back up disk.A cd burner is sdoes best friend.

Over the next week I'll sort through my Russian aircraft set (mig3, La5, La7 and IL4) and get them ready for download. None are finished to the best standard IMO, but at the same time, all are very good aircraft with unique features, once I've sorted this out I'll post them for download
