Today I was messing around with the Aviatik CI (WWI plane) anywho, I was tweaking with the Engine settings and had some questions. The MaxHP settings have two numbers, I.E.200/1200 Now I think I have figured out what the first number is, Max HP, but what the heck is the last number? I change it and it doesn't make a diff. Can anyone tell me what the last number is? Thanks! ------------------ Disney's Dinosaur, my passion, my love, my life. Think Im obsessed? You're right. 2 Quotes I live by...... The first number is the HP and the second is the RPM. They both SHOULD make a difference.IP: Logged |

Argon, Is that 200/1200 the same as saying 200HP @ 1200 RPM or is that saying max HP200 and max RPM1200. Just curious P Thanks bro [This message has been edited by Psi (edited 08-15-2001).] IP: Logged |

Its actually in the format: 200,1200That means max hp is 200 and max rpm is 1200. IP: Logged |

Psi-Just so you know- all ratings on aircraft engines I've found develop max hp AT the max RPM. The prop and gear ratio have a HUGE effect on how this translates to max speed, acceleration, climb, etc. IP: Logged |

Thanks DJ, so if one were to change those settings just to play around could one maybe get the A/C to exceed the limits of the airframe in top speed? I'm not into the building of the A/C I would just like to know so that in the future a person could determine if a particular A/C was over or under powered. This may be helpful to any new comers that have aspirations to built, anything! Thanks...P IP: Logged |
