First, it was WW1 Plane Pack 2 that brought me back to SDOE, and I've deleted my other flight sims because the experience was out of this world! Incredible! I love it!!!

And, I'm having a great time with the single seaters, but I can't control the gun positions! I can see the Lewis gun drum rotate, but I don't hear the gun, and I can't move it around. What can it be ?

I'm running a Dell PIII 800, 124 Megs RAM, nVidia 256, 16 megs RAM, DirectX 8a, Sidewinder...Pro I think.

The gun position didn't work in the 3 aircraft with multi positions I tried, B-17, BE2c, Ilya.

But, heck, even flying the single seaters, this game is a blast. Intercepting the Zeppelin in a Nieport, I didn't see it until I broke above the cloud cover, then WHOAH!!!

And, dogfights? The best ever. As has been said before, I had to work for the vicories! It was a real sense of immersion and accomplishment!

To the folks that put these files together... You oughta have been paid fer it!!!

V/R,

Chaps

After you move to the gunner position you have to press F6 to take control. Are you doing this?

Jerry, Aladar said the same thing in the WWI sim, and both of you are right. Thanks a whole lot. Boy, am I embarassed!

But, in my defense, the keycard said that 'F6' is 'Command Vehicle', and that didn't immediately suggest itself to me.

Also, I haven't played SDOE in a LONG time, and only came back to it because of the WWI pack. That pack, by the way, is beyond words! Lining up an off-center shot with your revolver from a Bleriot is unreal, or flying so that your observer in the Taube can use his!

Now that I'm here, though, I want to try some of the new WW2 stuff as well. The Stuka campaign, Eastern Front... The upcoming PBY pack... There's great gaming here!

Thanks for setting me straight!

Chaps

Try the P-51B and the new P-51D FM while you're at it!

Don't be embarassed Chaps. No one can master this sim without asking a lot of questions. Glad I could help.
