I just installed the 1.5.2.9 Patch as instructed and my joystick will not work. I checked the joystick calibration and it is working fine. When I run the sim with the 1.5 patch the joystick works. My joystick is a Logitech WingMan Attack 2. It is not a force feedback joystick and uses a USP port. Please HELP.

Yes, I copied the following files from the original Fighter Squadron to the 1.5.2.9 folder; sdemons.ini and keyboard.inp. It said to copy the servers.ini file too but I couldn't find that file. Any ideas.

It's simple , create a new folder in fighter squadron directory , called it Patch 1.5.2.9 , unzipped in this folder a patch ,
after copy sdemon.ini and keyboard.inf in your fighter squadron directory , and paste its in your Patch 1.5.2.9 folder , it's all .

I have the same problem Wulfe. In fact the mouse doesn't work either. The keyboard works fine though, which makes it all the more interesting. I can't say I've spent much time trying to figure it out though.

Wulfe I have a Logitech Wingman Extreme (non FFB)and I experienced a problem too though, luckily for me the problem was with the throttle only. If this is your main problem too then try the following. It is an extract from the Patch readme for version 1.5.2.6....Hope it helps.

Make a back-up copy of your keyboard.inp file first. If and once you've made the following changes to your keyboard.inp file don't forget to save the changes. If it doesn't work or you muff it up you can always revert to your backed-up copy or if you like, I can email you a copy of my keyboard.inp file to see if it works for you.
Good luck.

Patch Overview - 1.5.2.6
========================

VDU finally nailed the Force Feedback and Joystick problems. The one caveat for the Joystick throttle is that some people may have to use JoystickSlider1 in their keyboard.inp file instead of JoystickAxisZ.

If you are not sure about this then just open keyboard.inp in your SDOE dir, find a line that starts with "inpThrottleAnalog" and change it to read :

inpThrottleAnalog = JoystickSlider1 : 0 | JoystickAxisZ : 0

This will use both options.
