The new P-51D FM has been uploaded to simfiles under the title.

P-51D FM beta release 1

This is the first beta of the P-51D from the DIME project.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

People with Saitek Cyborg 3D sticks and High end Thrustmanster sticks- I need to know if this plane is too stable for you guys.

The idea is to make the planes fly correctly on the most stable sticks and people with really sensitive sticks then use their calibration utility (like the one that came with my TopGun Afterburner) or the CTFJ utility to bring their stick response to the same level.

This way- everybody will by playing on a level field. No more dumbed down FM's for the over sensitive sticks that makes the plane fly like a rock for people with stable joystick response.

For you guys with the Cyborg, and stable sticks like Razer's. Here's the test to see if it's overly stable. Get the P-51 in level flight at 200, 250, and 275 mph. Put her in a hard bank and YANK the stick back. If it doesn't flip on it's back or go into a spin, I need to adjust the COG backwards some more.

Feedback on this is badly needed before I tweak the FM any more.

Post your feedbackin the Projects section- NOT HERE.

If feedback dies off for a couple of days- it's too easy for this topic to get buried by other posts. I'm posting this in the general section so more people will see it.

A description of the changes is in the projects section-
