I have a registered, in my name, version of PhotoModeler Pro 4.0. If you are not aware of this program it allows you to make EXTREMELY realistic 3D computer models using digital or scanned 35mm photos. Since I am a registered user of this product I have the right to let anyone use it that wishes to do so. So, if any of you designers out there are looking for a very quick and extremely accurate way to design new models....of absolutely anything...for SDOE then please drop me a line and I'll set you up.

What I'd really like to see in the way of SDOE additions would be more WWII vehicles (Western Front and Eastern Front), more buildings of the same era, and one plane that I fell in love with back in my modeling days. That plane is the P-61 Black Widow.

Razer,

Go to the PhotoModeler website and take a look around. I think you'll like what you see. No, I am not a rep for EOS systems.

Dinga,

I was doing some design work for a racing simulation but time constraints....attending nursing school and full-time work....have severely limited my free time.

Here is what I propose to those of you that design objects for the SDOE flight sim. Contact me directly via email or by phone (828-683-9814) and then I will send you the original copy of the software. Once finished with it, it then goes to the next designer. Only those that are registered users of this forum and that are well known by the other designers will have access to the software. I have to tell you this. PhotoModeler is a $800.00 program and I would have to be assured that when I lend it to anyone that I will eventually get it back. Once you install the unlocked version you do not need the disk in order to run the program.

The detail level that can be achieved with PM Pro 4.0 is beyond description. What you see in the photo is what you see in the rendering, to the smallest detail (rivets, oil stains, etc.). So, if you want a crack at this program all you need to do is contact me.

Wulfe.

how large is the program? I might want to take a look at it. It exports to obj format and this can be imported using OPS so technicly we can use it to do planes if we figure some things out. I like the idea of the Measurement Tools.

Howdy Razor,

Size? I'm not sure what you mean by size. If you are referring to the size of the finished models, that would depend on how many polygons are involved. The models I did of drag racing machines ranged between 500Kb and 1Mb. Now if you are asking how large the program itself is, about 400Mb. The learning curve for the program is not really that bad and I've learned some tricks....I haven't downloaded the new update.

Remember you can design any 3D model of any object with this program. How about a church, walls, town square? One idea I had was to use 1/35th scale models, take some photos, and convert them to computer format. Problem was I didn't have a good 35mm camera.

If you are interested then please email me your postal addy and it will be on the way. Just send it back when you've installed it.

Wulfe

Wulfe190 I have already made a P-61 Black Widow from a base model by Razer.

This program sounds very interesting. Do these models come out proportionaly correct from the photo every time?

Hawk,

Pleaaaaaasssssssseee can I have a copy of the P-61 or is it not yet finished.

To answer your question if the models are proportional to the photo. You can resize the models as you work with them or after you have finished them.

To all of you that are going to want me to send this program to you I'll do it this way. I will wait exactly one week (from today) to send it to the first person. I will make a list of those that want the program and will send that list to that individual. He will then send the program on to the next person on the list and so on.

Chris.

No need to burn a copy as you can install it as "unlocked" which means you don't need the CD in order to run the program.

List stands at 1.
