Barcat26AC Pilot	posted 08-04- 02:50 AM I have an account - webhotell for 250mb, 50 pop3 accounts, sql (inclunding controlpanel), php, but not asp, scripts (cgi-bin) and some more possibilitys - i don´t use for the moment or will not for a year or more. There are no banners because i bought this account If anyone think it would be a good idee´ then i let you skins-builders cooperate and make a mutual skin-page for downloadings and make a downloadingcountings on that. Also to only using the downloadingcounter from my webhotell if i got it configurated and you have all stuff on your own site. If i got all i have read on the net correct. Freewarestuff the downloadingcounter- but sql database for making it working. I also give you access to that webhotel if you like for a page with tumbnails and skins and counters sorted in any way you like with links to your own site or whatever.. but someone must have knowledget to connect the downloadingscounter to the sql-database and the php-page. That´s why i´m asking... i would like to learn that in exchange. There are so many options to have a mutual page for all skins and still have all downloadings and a own main-page on your own site and only a reffering link to this page with all skins. - Lot´s of options It maybe is more to discuss if there are any intrest in this... I should only be passive supporting with the web-hotell and skins-makers make all pages and solutions in coop. In exchange (for a year or so) would i like to get help to connect that download counter so i know how to do. I failed right now and got exhausted - i got a cold and feel bad ! so i gave up. The downloadcounter is freeware and i only found one with php... and one also offering possibilities to support other sites with counting on downloading files on that sites. Barcat26AC Pilot	posted 08-04- 12:34 PM Thx Psi, i start to test scripts without any database i think that must work as good as with sql and i´m not sure those sql bases i found give what i expect. If i succed with my amateurism i give tip how to or give you the possibility if it is possible... I think it would be fun to see how many downloading a skin or other file from our site. I know some of you here are pros. but i´m not... i learn that sql base if i work hard a year... I have chosen logo with purpose.... this is really me ------------------ IP: Logged
Barcat26AC Pilot	posted 08-04- 03:46 PM Yippe i fixed a simple solution so if i can fix this maybe with some modification (i dont think we need callsign and e-mail) i help anyone with this simple solution I have the downloadingfiles on one webhotel and this counter on a another - test downloading the old 109 sdoe zipfile from less resulotion - no pict as you can see bec. only for testing you don´t need to fullfill downloading... see layout. I continue testing maybe better ones without sql database but this one is a good start... it maybe is one more simple solution also - would be nice if anyone could administrate it by him self and see stat... I think i finally have a solution not asking for e-mailadress but i think its nice to see your callsign on the downloadings but that´s also easy to change and make a field with alredy filled information. I triedd to change the code but i messed it ups so - this is it to be on 26th site as a test for a while. I think this is a good start for me ... and later i learn sql also I change password later.. http://alexswe.com/download/26th/download.php?action=view&pwd=12345 If you like to get this solution it´s freeware and if you dont have a webhotell with scriptspossibility i support - if you make skins for the community and would like to see the downloadings. Maybe i take away Callsign and make a note about author there later. So its only to cklick on the button. Its possible to have one stat for all like i have done but also for every skin. It was simplier for me this solution at this moment. The countings continue all the time (on the top in the adm page) but specified logging with ip nr is deleted after maybe 10 loggings and start from Zero again - if you missing any notes - a blank page - that have happend. Next downloading shows up all nr of downloadings before and the new ip. adress and so. You can change this settings. There are some more options like reply to the downloaders e-mail adress and so but i have choosen this solution. It's 10 meg e-mail storage that came with my new high speed access. It ain't 250m and I kind of think I'd get in a world of excrement if I said I could let anyone use the empty 20G HD I have on my Win2k Server. If anyone needs a quiet place to put stuff let me know.
