Hello, Im Aladar and you're not. How hard is it to include a test mission for airplanes? The P-40 for instance. NO MISSIONS. You guys are going to drive people like me to cliffs. I don't want to gripe, but I am. Please include missions with your downloads. Just say no.... to laziness.------------------ Disney's Dinosaur, my passion, my love, my life. Think Im obsessed? You're right. 2 Quotes I live by...... "Somethings start out big. And somethings start out small. Very small. Beta version - ergo - Beta version - ergo - incomplete, needs testing, builder looking for feedback, doesn't want loads of thoughtless comments like this or that mission CTD's, or even there are no missions included. The problem round here is that people forget that a beta version is for testing... ~sigh~ ~Nat~ IP: Logged |

I think it took me about 30 seconds (20 of that for the ME to open), I just replaced a couple of P-51's with the P-40. I recommend 3 pounds of ice swallowed whole P IP: Logged |

Listen dino-boy....You want missions. I got missions!!! 15 right now to be exact-- with 2 more coming when the bomb mounts are fixed. Laziness my ass! Da Jug stated when he released it that I still had missions to finish--- and I have sent him what I have--- he said he will release it in Beta 2.... It's not like we don't have 10 other projects going on....don't worry- they will be worth the wait! ------------------ Brought to you by the campaign for a better Dauntless! BETA is BETA....so no problem here if it is without training missions!...Mhhhmm if I remember correctly your BF110 was a whole mess in the zip file (tons of folders that messed up my whole sdoe installation) AND YOU ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT TRAINING MISSIONS????????? Go and watch dino movies! gt out ------------------ Please visit: GT's HANGAR Bombing the Reich "You'll have to put her down Baz, we're badly on fire." Step by Step guide to solving the 'no mission' bug with some planes...1) OPEN THE MISSION EDITOR 2) SELECT NEW MISSION 3) ADD ONE PLANE OF THE ERQUIRED TYPE 4) SET WAYPOINT TO START AT AN AIRFIELD 5) SAVE MISION IN HANGAR FOLDER NAMED THE SAME AS THE DIRECTORY THE NEW PLANE IS IN Then you start the game and go to Hangar and choose you shiny new mission and run the game. If for any reason, you are unable to follow the above steps, remove the plane from your HD and wait for the full release. IP: Logged |

Before anyone goes too nuts over this, it WOULD be nice if you could put the training and hanger missions in the aircraft folders. As it is it's a pain in the butt to ship out the missions.Maury IP: Logged |

Most missions I get at present are causing CTD's until I open them up reset the plane and save them, just as quick to make them from scratch so I say dont bother.IP: Logged |

Aladar, Just kidding - typically an EARLY beta (emphasis on the early) is downloaded by people who know they'll need to do some stuff on their own. The idea is those with the moxy to help find problems grab it, knowing they can help make a better finished product, but also knowing some things are missing. As the principle people currently working on this: me, Razer, Pachy, Jeeves, Nat & Argon have several other things people are waiting on us for, creating a "test" mission is not high on the list for an early beta. Put another way, would you rather have the P-40 with missions, or the P-40 minus missions PLUS, the NEW P-51D FM, which will be out tomorrow or Sunday, Razer getting back an FM on a plane you guys have been waiting for for quite a while, two other FM's Snick is waiting for, and another one for Hawk?

So Iguanadons are what food eats? I've always found being able to make my own missions half the fun of this game. Especially as it lets you chase Ju-88's with an F-86. Not as easy as it sounds. Try chasing a Stuka with a Corsair. Speed difference is amazing.IP: Logged |

LoL! I actually do make missions for all beta test aircraft... But when wakeup tailgunner and I release an aircraft, its about 95% to 99% done to begin with! Saves us the time of having to go back later and put in everything we didnt do while at the same time working on something else new when we dont have the first thing weve worked on done. That's a bonus though. It's great that you do it, but it becomes too easy for some to expect those kinds of 'polish' issues to be dealt with when fundamental issues haven't been yet, when that is what you are exposed to on a regular basis. I donīt care. To me as a beta It was nice. Only spent some minutes of fun doing a great mission with P40sxBf109s over Africa. Great Job Razer.IP: Logged |
