I've been kickin around the idea of a "mission club" this would be 2 or more people that write missions for each other to get that wonderful "I don't know what gonna happen" feeling. Hopefully these mis's would be fairly realistic and unpredicable but survivable. We could acually create and keep track of each others missions. I prefer the "no cheats" appoach to missions I.E no looking at the kneeboard map to see where your plane is or where the enemy is. And I don't use hud or any auto targeting ect.. you get the idea....this could be done online too....I don't mind flying with a real pilot against AI...the AI in this sim is pretty darn good ...any thoughts guys?

Vagner I am very interested in this!!! I love the unpredictable, to me that is very realistic. You know I have been thinking about the same thing, with a few warped twists added.

WHAT IF....we played for terrain, in other words we each would pick a base, we decide on the amount of supply, men, gas, each of has, and where it is located. As we fight, we keep track of losses, which could be symbolic. For example, you send me a mission that you wrote where you plan on hitting my supply lines. You would make a mission, placing some vehicles on a road. Supply truck, Anti-aircraft, and a citroen or BMW. You attack with aircraft, we have to get in those ground vehicles, and make the best of it. We get wiped out? Thats ok, because now its my turn to write a mission, where I get to decide what happens. In other words, who writes the mission has the advantage of attack, win the mission, you can attack again. The only stipulation is we would have to have some gentlemen terms of engagement. Each specific to a genre of mission. Genre's like Convoy Attack, Airport Attack, HQ Attack, Bridge Attack, etc. We could even stage close encounters with all ground vehicles to decide crucial, road passes, airport invasions, town invasions, bridge invasions, etc. It's a wild plan and it would best to make it up as we go along, as long as both of us are honest and gentlemen about it, it could work. I like it because it would use all aspects of the game, plus strategy and fighting for ground, which no one has ever done. I would definately have to be 2 vs. 2 to keep things simple.

I'm actually working on a campaign for online, where some piolts decide to be allied or axis at the start, and weather or not they win the 1st mission affects the mission they play next eg, the 1st mission islandings on agira, the top island in africa. the allies have 3 spits with rockets, 3 orsairs with light bombs, HMS Ark royal and 3 PT boats. the axis have 8 jet ME's, 3 bofors guns and 8 static tiger tanks.
the mission objectives are:
Allied: Destroy all axis
Axis: Destroy the Allied Fleet.

mission 2 would change if allied won mission 1, or if axis won it eg,

Allies win mission 1:

allies have 3 spits, 3 corsairs, a fleet in harbour.
Combat air patrol to defend the fleet

axis takes off from valeta with 6 Jet Me's to try and destroy the fleet

Axis Wins mission 1:

Allis have mde a camp near agirabut have lost all the fleet except HMS Ark royal, which is badly damaged and barely afloat( this will be the damaged carrier unit).

allies will have: 3 corsairs, 3 Matilda tanks and 1 AA halftrack (all drivable) objective will be to destroy all Axis presence

axis has 3 MEs and 3 panzers (drivable) thee objective will be to get rid of the allied landings

the campaign will go on like that for maybe 8 missions or until I get bored of making missions.

the advantage of this will be that if skill is equally distributated between the two teams, no two campaigns will be identical.

Well...semmern hasn't chimed in yet....but let's just say we have been working on a killer campaign based on this same idea for a few months now.....OK- more like 10.

I won't say the theater, but I will send him a bunch of 10 missions and he puts in the stuff for the opposing side...it is a refreshing way to do campaigns. But we are both involved in the DIME project as many of you know, and that (along with a hell of a lot of real life stuff) has taken the front seat to it

semm-- should we start back up again?

WELL GUYS, I think Harman deserves the SDOE Palm De Or, Oscar, Grammy. Whatever, for not only drivable ground vehicles but NOW AI driven ground vehicles!!!!!! This could transform squad war. We could actually fight for terrain. Ground AI groups fighting it out for a bride, airport, road, pass, town..etc. and us supporting them in the air...online!!!!!!YYYYYESSSSSSS. And its a real dynamic campaign.. The AI will determine what happens, unless there is strategic air raids...WHich there will Be....I am so excited!!!!! Lets hope Harman sorts things out where the AI can attack each other!!!!!!
