O.k ....I've been following this game over two years now. I've done the updates , and survived them all!!! But this plane back 6.0 never really took on my machine. So I waited till 6.1 came out, and in between work, night school and a family, I tried to get this thing to work....its a no go!!! Please don't ask what i've done, I have no idea...I have par files everywhere now.....( geeze we've come a long way , my files are huge!!!) I've tinkered for hours and hours and I have decided to do a clean install. Just help me with the sequence again...(1) Clean install (2) 1.5 patch (3) Can I jump to 6.1 from there? (4) What else do i need? Thanks all...I know you will get me through this delema.

Ok..well...yeah, it has really sort of outgrown itself, hasn't it? I lost track a while back myself, but this may help get you back to a workable area:

1 Clean Install
2 1.5
3 Nations 2.0 ( or wherever it is at now )
4 PP 6.0
5 PP 6.1 ( 6.0 is required for 6.1 still, I believe ).

Beyond that, Devil take the hindmost.

Fly one Mission for 1.5 to activate. And when a download says to read the Readme's, do so. Saves you a lot of grief. The other thing is, if there is no readme, look at the other files that are similar. ie. If it's a .sm file you've downloaded, look for the .sm file for the thing you've downloaded and RENAME or move the original. This lets you go back if you don't like the new one.
What's really important is don't be afraid to ask for help. These guys are great. Even if you've just forgotten how to do something everybody will bust their guts to help you.
