Pachy,

A while back I asked on this BB about your "Less Stormy English Channel" and I think you said you had never finished it. I did it by creating PhotoShop versions of all of the appropriate files and tracing around the land and then laying a 10% screen of a cyan over just the water, so I don't have the "land with water" vs "land only" terrain conflict I think you described in your response to me. It ain't perfect, but it's pretty good.

Everyone,

My main reason for this post is to let the community at large know that I kept the PhotoShop files for the Dover terrain and anyone is welcome to them if they're planning a terrain modification with Dover, like was done with Africa to make a really nice Pacific terrain.

I myself did a relatively modest modification to just give the water a slight blue tint. Others could go further by modifying the color, hue, and/or transparency of the "water" layer of each file, the tedium of tracing around the land already having been done.

The only down side is that a ZIP file containing the Photoshop files would be too large to post on my free/file size limited site. Anyone who wants them would have to give me somewhere to upload them to.

That is over 400 tiles, bro! I hate to tell you now but, there is a much easier way around this. By using Untile you can reassemble any terrain or airfield in about 30 seconds. Then pop it into Photoshop create a layer over the English Channel and adjust its color. Save it as a tiff and chop it up using Dicer(parfile tool). Then just put out the Channel tiles as an update.

This program saved my sanity! I'm not sure where to get it. Someone on this board created it...dont remember who. I guess I should send him a fruit basket

When I get home I'll get the info from the read me.

Thanks for the info. It wasn't too bad since most of the tiles involved were just sea. I would be interested in Dicer though if you find out where I can get it.

Isnīt dicer part of the parfile tools?
There should be a link to this at the main site here.
