Since i'm pretty much the only one actively working on PTO stuff I figure I'll let it go for awhile and help another area. I'm currently working on a 3D model for a Blenheim and I was wondering if there was in planes in the BoB theater that you guys would like to see. I'm going to have a lot of free time during my move since I wont have net access for week to 2 before and after the move so I'll have plenty of time to model. Once I've done the models I can post them for someone to put in game and do all the other things to help get them flying. I might even help with that some when I'm back up and running. If we had some good high res 3 views of the He-111 I might even redo it. I now have good 3 views of the Me-110 and could redo the model for the plane RedS's has been working on. Also, Maybe Diego could redo the dover texture to be more up-to-date and work some of his magic on it. SV could add one of his aerodromes to the british fields to give them a BoB feel and I could add some of my new clouds and smoke. This would be a killer BoB game wouldn't it? what do you guys think? Ideas? ------------------ Tony "Razer" Martin Brought to you by the Campaign for a better Pacific. FS Hangar IP: Logged |

A Wellington could be cool, or a Halifax (but I think this is being worked on right now)But what I honestly 100% love to see.. well, it can only be a Fiery Swordfish, with Argons torpedoes and the Ark Royal, Bismark, Hood and Scharnhorst, you could realy have some cool fights, OK, maybe it's not actualy BoB, but it's the right period all the same IP: Logged |

Fantastic offer Razer. There are maybe only a couple left that were used in BOB being Gloster Gladiator and Boulton Paul Defiant http://www.battleofbritain.net/section-4/page-12.html I have no idea where you would get accurate drawing but I bet 3dp does.[This message has been edited by Dinga (edited 07-26-2001).] IP: Logged |

Rends, Totally agree with you there, 1st He111 then Blenheim (also good for Battle of France and the African campaign if i remember well). The current Bf110 is rather good I think after it was improved by Scorpion Rouge. Super Idea Razer ! SailorIP: Logged |

There is already a project underway to do most of this....I can't release much by way of detail yet, but please be patient. The He111 is being worked on, but if Razer wants to build it, go ahead. Just keep me or Werner posted on it's progress. On the other planes needed front, we need some early years british planes. Blenheim would be the most useful all-round. MkIV with optional 4 .303 gun pack loadout would be a 'must have' Also useful would be the Defiant and the Hampden / Whitley for early RAF bombing. Also a Fairy Battle for the defence of France. The problem with the He111 is the interior. I already re-built the exterior, it's the damn cockpit! If you want to tackle that Razer, please do!!!!!! Another project if you are short of things to do is to mod the Ju87 to the earlier version, and to sort out the 110! I think Red SCorpion did some tweaking, but it just doesn't look quite right to me. I can't put my finger on it as to what isn't right......but it just doesn't look 'right'! Apart from that, we have it pretty well planned and covered for a BOB setup!!!!! IP: Logged |

Hi all,The Blenheim is coming about due to a request I put up on the SimHQ board noting the lack of an early British day bomber. While everything mentioned above would be nice, I appealed for the Blenheim for very specific reasons. While working on missions for the early war period, I noticed that German bombing missions could be done with existing planes (the He111 would be better, but at least we have a suitable alternative), but not so for the British. The Fairey Battle was another candidate, but as the Blenheim was also around at the outbreak of war and had a much longer career, I opted to request it since we could get more mileage out of it for the effort, so to speak. A night bomber earlier than the Manchester would be nice too, but the Wellington, Stirling, and Halifax are all at various stages of development already (albeit with some of them stalled). Given that the night offensive did not pick up steam until later, I again thought the day (and sometimes night) bomber version of the Blenheim was a better choice than the Whitley or the Hampden. I provided Razer with four detailed views of a Blenheim IV form Osprey Publishing's excellent "Blenheim Squadrons of WW2". Now he is working his magic on them. If someone takes up the rest of his challenge, we're in business! ------------------ Be seeing you, 3dp Visit RAF Harkness! [This message has been edited by 3dp (edited 07-26-2001).] IP: Logged |

I have detailed info on the 110s and like 3dp said above he's given me the 3 views to do the BlenheimI'm going to work my magic while i'm stuck in the world of offline and make as many models as I can and maybe put a few in game. If I had cockpit photos on the He-111 I might model a basic cockpit since gauges aren't a problem anymore. wakeup, can you send me the 111 and let me check out whats done so far?

Razer...I'll mail you a copy of the model in a couple of days. I just need to tidy up a bit of the canopy framing ( bits are sorted on the work machine, others are at home ) and get it all assembled in a single AC file !IP: Logged |

Guys, after watching some 111 cockpit pics i suggest to make the H111H with the instrument panel at the top of the cockpit, so you have a nice view to the gunner and to outside By the way, if nobody can spend time to create a cockpit i can do that. Rendsburger IP: Logged |
