Hi guys, as Snick mentioned, NBCI is shutting down very soon, I didn't know anything about this till he mentioned it, but the long and short of it is that I haven't got a new home for my site, so it's gonna be lost until I ever get round to rebuilding it at a new site.Obviously, becuase of this, if there's anything on my site that you want, get it now PDQ, I don't know what stuff I still have on my HD thats up there, so some of it may be lost to me, just get everything you want now before it's gone. One day I'm sure I'll rebuild it, luckily I still have the stuff that 3DP did for me, so I'll try once again to get hosted over at 3D action games.com, with them I can offer a very good service through my site and have a trusty home for it. Hi Nat,My site is also gonna be affected by this, and I also didn't know until Snick mentioned it over at SimHQ. I managed to secure a new place for mine though, over at crosswinds.net. Free of course, unlimited web space, but there is one popup, and uploading can only be done via your browser but I guess it's better than having limited web space. And yes I managed to change all 207 pages of my site links to the new crosswinds address in two days lol. ------------------

I'm glad I mentioned it... BTW - The email I got from NBCi said it was the second (and implied last) notice.... I never got a first. Rebuilding the SnickWerks is a chore (it had just been done and even at that all the pages are not complete). OH it feels so good to be back! If you do not have a local copy of your site you can recover a major part of it with a little software I have, called Sitesnagger from PC Mag. On DSL, I got 7MB of your site's first 3 levels in about 5 minutes. It is limited but does it all by itself. It is meant for offline browsing or other projects of the kind...IP: Logged |

Thats cool BF, wish I had a cable connection or DSL, but on a my modem there's now way I can afford the time to try and capture my site or download it all via the FTP, and as Vmartini says, it is slightly out of date lol, but there are a few things on the site you wont find anywhere else, so it's worth checking before it's gone.~Nat~ IP: Logged |
