Ok, something most people are probably not aware of is that most (if not all) members of the v67th are DIME project members too. We also have DIME members from other squads.

Anyway, here's the request. Since v67th members are busy remodeling the planes (both 3D and FM), we really don't have time to test them the way we'd like. There are several volunteers that have helped immeasureably in this department.

As everyone knows, on-line flying seems to be the true "acid test" for a plane. What would be nice, is if we could get a couple of squads to fly the betas of these, online, under the patch and 1.5. (Beta squad wars?).

The first plane that was released still isn't done, (needs some DM and 3D model touch up), but the FM can't be adjusted any more without some feed back. In this case I'm talking about the Tiffy. This version was released so PP 6.1 would have a Typhoon that was flyable.

I got some reports back, but more would be nice. The P-51D FM should be ready by next weekend. As everyone knows, this has been a problem for a while. I'm getting favorable comments on the B, but until Razer makes some changes he wants, it's not ready for general release and testing yet.

We may be able to release the corrected Fw-190 FM for testing too, I need to check with the modelers first.

The testing would involve flying the planes we've released against each other rather than the ones in the curent Plane Pack. The reason for this, is we know the hard core performance data on speed, climb, roll rate (when available) and turn rate (when available) will be correct. We can't be SURE about the ones in the Plane Pack until we've had a chance to look at them.

This kind of testing would be invaluable as it would help with getting the planes adjusted when we don't have hard core data on some of the stats.

So, squad leaders, find out if your members are interested.

Thanks- Da Jug

I Heartily second this request! Even if you are not part of a squad, if you are an online pilot and would like to help test, please contact Jug or myself!!!!

FWIW - About 50% of the DIME group is from the V67th. Though it didn't start that way originally it was much less. Many of them saw the error of the ways and decided to join the squad... (including Jug)

Thanks

can you release them packed in pairs

called it DIME1
ie FW190 v Tiffie

if update is needed then
call next one 'Dime2'
ie FW190 v Tiffie

Dime 3,,,,,,,etc
FW190 V Spit

then we can test plane and comparison together,

Testing will be easier online with this.

So monday night testing 'Dime1'
'Dime2' numbering will bring clarity to
to those testing..

Oh I'll help but I'm no expert on wether one plane rolls faster than another etc..

Hi,
Pye, if you're not an expert, who is ?
So we test 2gether and u give me another lesson in dogfighting ok ?
OK, I volunteer for that kind of testing, i'm available to fly on-line nearly every day between 9.30 pm and 11.30 pm European time. I'll try to chek the forum regularly to know when someone plans a testing session. Otherwise just send me a mail and I'll be there (real life permitting).

if you guys want you can add the P-51B in the rotation but It still doesn't have a gunsight, lower LOD for the fuse and minor fixes plus finished cockpit work.

Razer - We will pull it in to the rotation, but it has to slide into the schedule.... (read as: Hey? send me a copy... )

I don't want to designate the types of releases into firm pairs as they may change.

There is a schedule we are working to and the planes rolling off the end of the line reflect that schedule...
Thanks,
Snick
