With 512 and all coming out soon how about someone creating gun blast effects? What I mean is you start off in a clean aircraft with red tape on the guns but as soon as you start firing the tape is torn and there is a black smudge behind the gunports?

That would be cool. Is it feasible?

Dont know how feasable, but it triggers a memory....
The PBY was incredibly outgunned. As a result, there was some innovative engineering. In the field the crewchief's replaced the bonbardiers glass with steel. Then mounted 4 .50 cal or 2 20mm cannor or 4 .303 Vickers guns (depending on what they could get ther hands on). Well, it seem you have to keep those barrels free from salt water but ready to fire. Low and behold the lowly condom found a new use in life... It seems some eyebrows were raised when forward areas with no women started ordering large numbers of condoms......
And the rest, as they say, is history...
