would it be to much to ask some of you programming gurus to make a program that you can just view a plane in and have it auto update the texture if it detects a new version (3D Exploration does this) or have a reload button to reload the texture?

This would so help out painting it's not funny. I have something like this for WB3 and using 3D Exploration for other things i'm doing is great but it's a pain to do schemes for FS since OPS doesn't reload the textures and it takes to long to go in game if your just checking panel line placement.

help!?!?! Anyone!?!?!

I asked Brain to add this feature to OPS about 18 months ago but it seems to have slipped by the by. It's a pain to have to reload OPS every time (and I've done this with 150 + schemes) but it's far quicker than going into the game.

yea, in the viewer for WB3 I can put the plane where I want it then work on that area, lets say the wing, and then all I have to do is work on the scheme, lets say panel lines, and type reload in the console. I can move lines around and type reload and see the changes. It makes for easy work and I can do a whole scheme in a day or two with it once I have a good template. But SDOe takes way longer since you have a lot fo work arounds to do since we have nothing like this.

Salute Razer,
Can't help you with the main question, but I can help you to get into the game FAST so you can look at your painting work. Go to the bottom link in my signature and download the Nomansland terrain(at bottom of page). Its less than 2MB and has a map editor too. It will get you into the game to look at your work fast!!!

That would be so f&*$%!g cool. Not to have to start up the game, not to have to reload OPS just a plane viewer with a reload button.

I'm not a programmer but I would think this should be really easy.

So, I'm with Razer in the PLEASE!! catagory.

Ditto that, loading Neuschwanstein umpteen times (and i've barely begun...) is very tedious, especially having to click through the file structure each time to get to the sm.

One more name in the 'please!' column, please.

Werner
