I attempted to fly online tonight for the first time with the patch and with 1.6. I am being forced by the game to play 1/2 speed. Anyone else have this problem? I dont have an AMD processor and never had any problems before flying online. I am running a PII 400 with 384MB RAM. I had never played a game 1/2 speed before it and it really sucks. =)

Do a search,, psi had a similar problem and it got solved.. only about 2/3 weeks ago!,,

try , PSI as poster in search criteria .

Not that I'm entirely sure but what kind of connection do you have? IE: Is it a 56K modem? It sounds like a connection thing to me. I'm guessing, but it sounds like that to me.
Sometimes you can be connected to the net, on a 56K modem, and it's really slow. Next time you get the same connection speed and it seems much faster. Despite the fact I work for an ISP, I'm still not sure. (I fix hardware disasters.)
What it boils down to is the connection speed. If you log on during a high use times, like just after 5:30ish, your connection will be slower due to everybody and his brother doing the same thing.

Thanks Pye - I found the post in the patch section of the forum. There are some commands that need to be added or adjusted in the sdemons.ini file as they added to some code which snags slower systems and forces them run 1/2.

Just got done flying a number of games with Archer. A lot of fun!
