For those of you who watched the Pearl Harbor movie, you know how awesome the machine gun sound effects are. Why can't we impliment those sounds into SDOE? That would be way cool! Besides, it would seem more realistic that way. I mean, Jane's WWII fighters gun fire sounds like Pearl Harbor, and lots other sim sounds like Pearl Harbor, why can't we?

I've been playing with some sounds for the last few days. I've changed the bullet hit sound to add many sounds so you just don't hear 1 bullet hit you it's more like 6 or 7. Plus I've added a few other sounds in there also. It sounds pretty cool right now and you can tell your getting pinged and you star moving to keep from getitng hit. I think we need to add MORE sounds since just 2 wav files just isn't enough. This goes back to Bryans idea of adding a sound file where we can add sounds thought for a quick fix I don't see how hard it would be to add a few more sound var in the code. When I think the gun sounds and hit sounds are good enough i'll let a few test them before release.

Coming over from the Darkside [EAW does have great damage sound, you really know about it] in FS, unless you see it, you got to be alert for incoming damage, usually its only when I see a vapour/smoke trail behind me do I realise I've taken some. HB

PSI gave me credit cause he's generous(he'll kill me for saying that). Really I did nothing but listen and give ideas while he did the mixing and hard work. He's got two turn tables and a microphone hehe.

Thanks guys for such awesome sound affects! Yeah, sure revised ones would be great, but this one is already blasting as it is now!
