Hey Harman great work!!!

Listen question, is there a way to "open" the bases? Right now, there is no way to enter them. Can there be a gate designed, a guard booth, machine gun nest, etc. at the airfields?? preferably something that can be destroyed, if you know what I mean. Actually an object, akin to scorpion's hurricane emergency crew would be cool. Then that could be placed anywhere in the terrain. At bridges, entrances to airfields, strategic points in the road, towns, whatever. Also, Harman how bout designing some "Vehicle" Machine gun nests,(sandbags etc.) for different countries. You could F7 to machine gun, observation,(guy with binoculars), and maybe soldier with grenades. This could be placed anywhere as well. Then you could defend certain areas from a vehicle attack.

Hey, I was actually thinking Harman might make one of those bridge laying tanks, we do need to cross rivers on our way to Berlin!

Yes, these are possible. Regarding the placement of gate posts at airbases, and opening the fences this would require editing of the airbase sm file itself I'm thinking, but it is possible. It'd be even better if I can figure out a way of making the boom gate open when a vehicle nears it, and having a guard tower with mg. Observation posts, gun nests, yes these can be done, although I'm not sure how the Binos would work, it'd add to the feel at least though. Static points of defense is quite a good idea actually. A real plus if the AI would start shooting if you approached enemy territory or even an enemy town. We could even have mannable AAA guns to target any enemy planes flying over. Offline campaigns with these vehicles would be even more feasible then, say a mission objective would be capturing a town riddled with gun nests and other defenses by first mortaring it with your Hanomag. All the AI has to do is shoot those static mgs at you, or attempt to strafe you with a plane. Of course, online would be the real blast...then we could have a real WWII Online, only heaps better!

Actually, I've managed to make placable mines that will blow up if *any* thing touches them. Just right for a mine busting tank. I've also made placable trees too, populate the terrain a little more. I'll release them soon.

Amphibious vehicles may also be a possibility now that water landing planes have been achieved.

Oh so many ideas, so little time! Definately worth looking into though...
