Howdy guys! (gals?) I'm new to forums like this but not to flight simulators. I bought SDOE last June and I've never stopped playing it! I own six flight simulators so I know my way around the air. I just found this site last night and I've been downloading planes and stuff like crazy! I'd love to know if any of you can hook me up with some medium bombers-transports-heavy bombets, etc. I really love American, British, and German aircraft, especially their bombers and experimental aircraft! Let me know fellas! I hope I can make a few fellow flight comrades! It's exciting to be aboard!IP: Logged |

Welcome Objective. Great to have you as a part of this great sim. As to your question of medium bombers, we are awaiting the release of two, the B-26 and the B-25. Also the B-24 is being worked on though I don't know of any progress. The B-17, Lanc, Ju88 and the Mossy that shipped with the game is all that I know of unless you due the WWI planes. Best bet is to due a key word search in this forum and check at the downloads. I'm sure others will be more helpful than me in this area P IP: Logged |

The B24 is definitely alive and well.....as is it's BIG brother... They are both flying as shells, the interiors are the hard bits! The trick is to build them to look good, but not to kill FR's. This is a real balancing act! B24 and 29 are now wearing new low-poly models, and th 29 even has a cockpit....just no panel details yet. screenshots may be available soon ------------------ =V67= IP: Logged |

thanks for the input guys! I'll check that out! Yeah, I've been flying the Mosquito, Lancaster, and the Flying Fortress in to the ground, so a bit of variey will be nice. glad to know they're in the works! I caught the buzz of a possible Doolittle Raid! Now that would be a mission to die for! See you in the skies!IP: Logged |

I have yet to download the online standard and planepack 6.1, but I'll get on it fast! There's just so much stuff! Lordy I'm in Heaven! Tanks for the reminder Biggles! Man Spanky, I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw all the planes and missions and countries and vehicles and everyting I could have at my disposal! This rawks! WWDubya, I'm not sure what you mean. I'd love to fly some WWI era planes, where should I look? One thing though, any of you know where I could find a Ju-52 with paratroopers? I have one in WarBirdsII, but I like this game much more! Thanks for the welcome guys! This is so cool!IP: Logged |

Hi Objective...It's great your into this sim,, it's a passion for sure.Biggles3 beat me to it mentioning the ONline Standards.. These are as follows SDOE patch 1.5 Planepack 6.1 (unofficial ) but you'd be silly not to have it Nations 2 world war 1 plane pack Once the new ground pack is put into a Par file.. then all these can be run without an aircraft folder.. the ideal ONline compatibily scenario!
This means renaming your aircraft folder with all the new , beta test x-planes and ideas vehicles etc.. will assure you quick ONLINE compatibilty
I run with just these and can be assured online compatibilty.

To find links to all of the files you need to download, go to http://fscentral.50megs.com click on the getting started link if you have a 56K modem you'll find a link to a site where the large files are broken into pieces you can reassemble. You'll also find a link to the WWI plane pack. IP: Logged |
