I reckon the best SDOE plane we have is the KI-61 - it's easy to fly easy to take off it's got a great rate of climb and it's steady when you shoot. Thanks to those who built it - I still await the Nakajima Hayate!IP: Logged |

You wont say that when you fly the new FM. You can turn fight some but you loose a lot of speed.How did oyu get a copy of the Ki-61 anyway? Is it the one from Nat's site? (that one didn't have any (i mean ANY) FM work done on it. I might start working on a new Ki-84 model but you should see the N1K2 when it's released, it's a good fighter with those 4 cannons on the wings. Well, my favourite would have to be the Spit Mk.V, because it turns like hell and climbs like a homesick angel. Or the Typhoon, because it packs a huge punch and, used correctly, is quite a performer in dogfights as well.IP: Logged |

For me it's the Spitfire IX followed closely by the F4U-1B. You reckon it was 15 kills Biggs? You're good kid but not THAT good! Time for a rematch grasshopper! ------------------

The La-7 is in a late Beta stage and hasn't had a full release yet, it was released s Beta a while back, there's still a little bit of work to be done to her before she goes gold, but she is cool to fly, and those twin 23mm nose cannon make a mess of about anything and rarely miss once you're used to flying her. the thread is here for some reports and download:

The question was asked was which is the best "dogfighter" in this sim no? or is what he ment to say is best fighter? Not which is favorite or which in real life or another sim.I can only comment on pp6.0. Best dogfighter: P-51. Best Fighter: Ta-152 I have proven this time after time against the gulls online ..and also against the p-51 when someone wanted to test that match up. (anyone who doubts this I am always willing to fly to prove a point. or you can save your time and talk to any of the diehard online pilots (ie not the weekend wariors who have probably have not had the chance to see my Ta-152 handywork to know the fear hehe.) Best Fighter would go to the Me-262 if the lethality of its guns were at historic levels. (damage bug really hurts this plane) Just my 2 well traveled cents. IP: Logged |
