Hi guys, OK here I am again asking for a small group of beta testers, I'd like a few guys with knowledge of using beta versions (basicaly you can install them and test them) and with a couple of days to spare.I've made alot of FM changes to the Mig to tame down it's climb rate and adjust it's E bleed (big thanks to Da Jug )and it seems alot better now, also there is a very new DM feature added that doesn't cost any FR but lets you know when you've taken an amount of general bodywork damage... this this quiet simply awsome for aircraft only fitted with light MG's like the .303 This is a major aspect that needs feedback, I know it works and it works good, but I need to know if you think it cuts in to soon or the effect is to pronounced.. you'll know what I mean when you take damage in the Mig OK, so basicaly, new FM added, and a new "no cost" super dooper DM feature added both of these are what realy needs testing, general touchups I don't need and real replies on. I'd like to have something like 2 days intensive testing, and also to test this online with you to realy see how good this new feature is, because thats where I'm sure it will make a very big difference in the kill rates for light MG. I'm going to package it all up into a zip file and post it to my site later today, since it's now 10:41 am I'm gonna get some sleep before sorting through what needs packaging (yes, been up all night again). So, let me know below and give me your E Mail address and I'll send you the download link and we'll sort out a night (Wed/Thurs) for some online testing. I'll not post the link here because I'm realy excited abut the new DM feature and want to hold back on the details before she's released, it'll add the the "shock" factor when everyone gets their hands on it If I get more than 5 asking to test then I shall pick a max of 5 people, please don't get on my case if I don't pick you, it's not personal at all, but hell, who am I kiddin lol, be lucky to get 5 lol, ok, first 5 or however maney will get to test, thats fair. Later guys! ~Nat~PS, hope all that makes sense.. I need some sleep LMAO ------------------ =V67th= "Naturlich" "SDOE... Hello Nat, I'll be out for the next 2 days but if you still need testers by thursday night, or some more pilots to test on-line during the evening (european time), just send me the file at : fmailhos@noos.fr. Otherwise lets just say that I am 6th on the waiting line Cheers SailorIP: Logged |

Damn! Thanks guys, wasn't expecting such a latger response to be honest, things have been quiet round here recently.OK, I just got back from doing a couple of hours on my moms bar, so I'm gonna sit my ass down and sort through what needs packing now, I have alot of junk in the folder from all the building and testing. Jeeves, this is not the one you have on this one I've just finished testing the FM updates and tweaking the damage feature, so I'll mail you the download link when I've uploaded it. It will be download guys, I'm sure it will be too big to send via mail so I'll mail you all a link as soon as it's up there, and I'll add a little readme to explain anything not yet added (like the training stuff etc) Thanks for all the replies guys, I'll sort it out now and then we'll arrange some online testing aswell. I was thinking we'd use Patch ***.8 for online tests, but if there are problems we can easily revert back to 1.5 Later guys, and tahnks ~Nat~ IP: Logged |

Just got done flying this plane for about 30 minutes. First impression. SUPERB Really really a nice addition Nat! The only feedback I know to give now are most likely things you know about far better than I do, i.e switchin distances etc. It flies like a dream! PR=FC= IP: Logged |

i cant seem to get the work using my regular SDOE (it CTD's b4 it starts loading....im using PP6.1), however i can fly it using patch 1.5.2.7. it is quite responsive at medium altitude (3000-9000ft) but i slow to turn above or below those altitudes. fun to fly though IP: Logged |

OK, first I'll start off with a big thanks to those few of the above that mailed me back after sending out the Mig-3, thankyou very much for your courtesy and the testing you've done that you mailed me your findings off, I'll keep you guys in mind for future testing rather than doing this request thing again.OK, onto brighter moods... From the reports I've had back I'm happy with the FM unless anyone points out a major flaw now, then forever hold your peace The new DM effect, OK, maybe I've been working to hard on Reaserch and Developement and got over excited about it, but what I've achieved realy is a (more) realistic way of dogfighting, lets face it, if an aircraft gets shot up bad, but doesn't have the engine damaged, or lose and parts like stabs, is it right that this badly shot up aircraft should carry on flying like it just rolled off the production line? 'Course not OK, thats the breakthough of the new feature added to the Mig. If an aircxraft get shot up as said above, it will shake, be harder to control and fly, and will seem to have lees engine power due to a large increase in drag because the skins been shot to crap. Thats what I've managed to do with this new feature, and from reports it seems to be working like I wanted it to. Here's a piece from some feedback: (The Spit in question is a 1a fitted only with previously crappy .303's) 2nd : the loss of power is the more obvious point of the DM mods. In the Spit you fire at an escaping Mig (it is faster) and suddenly you begin 2 catch up sa the mig losses engine power. This makes firing at and escaping enemy a lot less useless than before (good 4 me, I'm a not good at aiming). OK, what here has been mistaken for loss of engine power, is actualy enough damage being caused to activate the skin damage effects, the escpaing Mig would have done just that usualy, outrun the Spit 1a, or atleast kept him at a distance making good hits hard to get, and thereby eventualy winning. But whats actualy happend is he's strafed the excaping Mig damaging the skin, causing more drag and sloing it down aswell as decreasing is manouverbility (sp??) allowing him to close and get good hits. The engine wasn't damaged at all, but the drag caused by general skin damage has made the Mig a real target now, so those poor Light MG's can realy do you a job now. So, OK, here's goes.... If you want to test out the Mig-3 then this is the link: http://members.nbci.com/naturlich/Mig3Beta2.ZIP (Readme included) Here is the latest Mig-3 SM http://members.nbci.com/naturlich/Mig-3.sm Included in the first zip file are a couple of missions, both 4V4, Spit1a and 109e4. Also included are some new weapons that will be used in the near future. The Mig loadout option for 4xFAB50 only works with Patch 1.5, we've not found out yet why *.8 doesn't like them. General Mig info:
She's still a little untidy, a few DOFs need some work and the texture needs touching up. Just about everything I know about already, so if you'd like to post test feedback then please try to keep it to FM related stuff. The current DM is actualy very basic and needs refining, that will start now that I'm happy with the state of the FM. Thanks again guys. ~Nat~ [This message has been edited by Nat (edited 05-25-2001).] IP: Logged | |
