I'ver been around for a few days so i thought i'd introduce myself and ask for some help.
I downloaded a new map called Ocean, and the names.ppf(? something like that) has added some extra terrains (dover night, tundra etc)to my mission editer. I have a few questions.
1) where abouts are these terrains (can't find them on simfiles)
2) is there a terrain editing program, or a text guide on how to edit them?

I have the patch, nationsv2 and planepack6

Vmartini, what a cool callsign! It would make for some creative nose art.

Have you visited any SDOE fansites yet? If you've got newbie questions, you really should check out Da Jug Head's site, he's got lots of great info for newbies, and don't worry about asking questions, we don't bite. Usually. The search function on the forum will probably be your best bet though if you're looking for a quick answer.

Welcome!

Werner

Welcome on board Vmartini! I'm from 7 milkes outside of Manchester myself, there's a few of us Brits around here.

Anyway, the community here.. we have some real killer arguments, bitching matches and get well pissed off with each other from time to time, but by the same margin we all have some meassure of respect for each other and on normal days we all get along very well, I really have to say that this is the best bunch of guys I never met Actualy, thats a shame, wish we could all meet up one day, that would be so cool man. But this is a great group of people, the best I've known, hell I dunno what I'd do if this place ever split up.

Fire away with any questions, but as was mentioned above, using the SEARCH function on the board will help you alot.

if this place ever split up simfiles or somewhere would get a forum and you'd all move there
i've seen it happen, big sites can go under quickly when the community swells up(like after Red Alert 2's release)
