Well today my dad and i flew up to CRANFIELD airodrome (just nort west of LONDON,UK) in a piper cub, the lesurly flight was great fun. We are talking a real aircraft here, no fly buy wire (well it was in a sence ) or computer MFDs this was flying at its best. Our little cub was making good speed at an incredable 75knots (with a tail wind ) and it was very smooth with no turbulance. As i could now reach the rudder pedels (last year i was to short but i have shot up alot since then)dad let my fly most of the trip with him navagating. as i found out you realy need to use the old feet when flying a plane of such eara, keeping the ball in the middle is essential for grabbing the extra odd knot .

Cool, lots of fun I know

A couple years ago I flew a Citabria first time flying a real "stick and rudder" plane. What a blast! The thing was way more sensitive than I thought it would be. Plus that was my first experience in a tail dragger. Gotta love it!

Hey, don't you be knocking a 75 knot cruise speed!

It's just right to sight see, but still squish bugs on the windscreen
