Hey guys! On Friday Macplay said Fighter Squadron is coming out soon! I was just wondering if the wonderful add-ons you guys have made could be converted so they would work with the Mac version, I know us Mac users would greatly appreciate it.

PPPPPPLLLLLLLEEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSEEEEE!!!!!!
I'm begging you guys!!!

Apparently they lied. Previous posts, byu people that know, indicate the Mac version has yet to be released.

No, I posted that message about a month ago. Just go to www.imgmagaazine.com and you can read the press release. It's really coming!

Well, the easy and obvious answer is we have no idea, they might, then again, they might not, we don't have anyone using SDOE on a Mac yet to be able to tell us (for obvious reasons) the best people to ask would be Macplay cause they are the ones porting it, far as I know no-one here has even been approached about it, so anything we say is pure speculation.

They (the guys from inside, MH included) said on numerous time that all the planes/objects/fields files would be Mac compatible from the source; it means it was done this way from skratch.

I would say you don't have to worry about this Joey.

Joey,

Just remember that the addons can be used, but will have to be unzipped and installed manually as the installers used are for windows .

The reason I didn't think the add ons will be compatible is in anticipation for SDOE I downloaded some mods like the Ju-52, the corsair, the paratrooper, GMC supply truck and some others and they unzipped fine cause they are in zip format. BUt then I downloaded Plane Pack 6.0 and it didn't decompress I think it's because it's in exe. format could it be put in zip format.
